Lasers, do they suck ****? Are they in the same category as blasters before their buff?

Lasers suck (cap) scorch rocks so it all kinda blances out.

the special case tachyons are nice as well but they are restrictive due to fitting and only come in large size. This may be part of the issues BC and smaller Amarr ships havve in the balance areas. (small tachyons and a slicer could be amusing).

Most long range guns are weak, artilery works due to the it being #1 in alpha and when alpha is what you are looking for it wins (its DPS is rather poor, tracking weak, fire rate lol).

I love the projectiles users who say give us scorch then we can talk, ok sure you can have an ammo that increases your optimal by 50%, does solid damage and nerfs your tacking, Can lasers have capless and damage choice, please Lol.

If you could swithch your bonus of your ship many amarr pilots may well take the switch to projectiles even if they basically lose the 10% cap bonus, think about harbinger you lose a bonus but get to load the biggest guns for a minor DPS loss, get to keep your tank and get a nuet in the spare high and actually get a mid back since you no longer need a cap booster all the time, gain damge selection. Details may weigth this either way but seems pretty close to start.

Scorch simply hits the lasers one great strength and buffs it, so it owrks it is a perfect storm, just like why the tengu works and angel ships are so annoying.

My view is buff lasers and nerf scorch to compensate. e.

+1 Drop in Scorch damage for reduced cap for firing lasers, I'm on board for that.

and make quads useable for coolness factor

You guys are insane! Scorch is what makes lasers awesome, as barrage is what makes autocannons awesome.

Cap usage is NOT a problem in pulse setups 90% of time if you have properly trained skills. Check taht ammar ships have MUCH MUCH more cap than minmatar ships exactly to compensate that. Also they do not use almost any cargo space in ammo so more space for cap boosters.

Projectiles were buffed exaclty because lasers were SO MUCH OVERPOWERED compared to anything!

Compare how long takes for a geddon with pulses to kill a standard fit megatron and how much tiem takes a tempest do do the same. At 2 km then at 40 km... you wills e each side is good in one scenario. Learn to BE ON THAT SCENARIO.. and stop whinning
