After reading up on these i get confliciting info from various sites:

Some say there is no negative standing effect (like Sisters epic arc).

Some say there is a negative standing effect (like regular faction missions).

Anyone knows which is true?

As far as I know you still receive a derived standing so gaining with Gallente would lower your Caldari a little.

I'm not 100% sure though, sorry.

They act like storyline missions which means you get a derived standing loss with the opposite faction(s).

whenever you gain *faction* standings you lose/gain (or don't change) standings with other factions.

That isn't strictly true. The epic arcs break this rule.
