New Mac client -- won't download correctly, won't open correctly

I have already done lots of googling and read the stickies.

I'm downloading the mac client, which says it is 5.45GB, yet every time it stops somewhere around 2.2 or 2.5 I think and then when I go to click on it, says "mountting failed item is still downloading"

But...it's not downloading.

In Google Chrome it says "file not recognized"

and in Safari it says "still downloading"

I can't find manual files for the mac? The two I downloaded + the executable were .7z file types, whatever those are, plus the .exe was a windows file anyway.

Any ideas? and there isn't a problem with my connection or router, i've downloaded and installed the client 3 times on 3 seperate PC computers, but first time using mac the client won't even work

UPDATE-I just got around a corrupt extraction on another Windows machine by downloading the repair tool, and having it repair the empty CCP/EVE folder, which basically installed the entire full game with no problems.

Is there a direct link to a "repair" tool for the mac?
