I detect nahwhals has touched OP someware private.

We had a small kefuffle with them the other night where they brought a fleet with logi etc, we were only in gank ships of varying tank types and ranges so we decided to collapse our wormhole, meanwhile scouts saw max coming in a cloki loki from highsec, he jumped it into our system ahead of the fleet in order to try and tackle as many of our ships as he could but instead we collapsed the loki in our system and pod'd him out to stop him gathering intel in the system.

Max is a good fc and it will be a shame for ducks to lose him...

First we had the old debacle where nawhals lost one of their founding member corporation bite me inc. Which resulted in this thread. For a while the ducklings ran around in circles hating each other and bashing dickstars, in c1 wormholes, in oracles.

Then came Max Leadfoot. Mr. Leadfoot organized narwhals a little and made wasted to step down. Who although did not have an official leadership position other than CEO always were quick to veto decisions. With the leadearship of Mr. Leadfoot narwhals fleets started to grow and pvp became more of a priority.

The inherit problems with Cipreh and the rest of the alliance leadership were quick to destroy any serious efforts to "fix" the alliance. This brings us to today.

First Max Leadfoot got popped and podded. This resulted in Mr. Leadfoot leaving narwhals (go ahead, look him up). Rumors say he is leaving the game as well.

Without the single most competent FC narwhals had, they went back to resorting to the typical idiocy they do when there is no proper leadership. Going for multi-billion isk contracts in tier3 battle cruisers. The client is paying them several billions of isk and they only commit tier 3 battle cruisers. That is not the Narwhals i remember and feared. That is not how to conduct professional mercenary business. And the worst part is, they got caught doing it.

So the mighty have fallen.

Here we go again, this seems to be the mandatory "Narwhals are failscading" thread of the month. We have had six of them in as many months. Oh well, moving on then, the Tier 3 BCs will project way more DPS on a tower then an expensive armor fleet. Mistakes might have been made, I personally would have gone with scimitars instead of basilisks, but a single fight does not mean the death of a contract or death of an alliance. Narwhals will bounce back, they are a great group and sooner or later a new FC will emerge from the vacuum.

I think they'll manage to recover from this devastating loss of a handful of T3 BCs.

Ducks can always be counted on for good fights. Hope we run into y'all again soon.

I'm not sure what the whole rhubarb is with the OP. I see that KILL & CO had a fight with Narwhals with lopsided numbers, and this somehow means they're failcascading?

As has already been stated; they lost a fight and still had fun. I guess that means their alliance is gonna have to go back to missions to gain back their losses. Ugh

Which other ship projects around 1000 dps each onto a tower, costs 80 mil each and is easily available and flown by everyone pretty much regardless of their skillpoint level?

These ships although flimsy, make pos bashing in lower class wormholes, bearable and somewhat quick. If our pimp armour tech3 gang could project similar dps onto towers like these do, we would use them...

It all comes down to one question....

WHY SO SERIOUS?

PS. NPC corp alt posts are irrelevant and always will be. Please try again later.

Fix'd. Cool

What part of "Alts aren't allowed to post in CAOD" did you not get? Roll

The correct statement is "Post with your main"

THEN COAD is Arrow

Max is also hardly the only FC ducks have...
Hell, as far as i knew he left the game about 6(?) months ago anyway and only recently returned.

There is no Bob.

I saw narwhals earlier this evening. They seemed to be just fine. Bombing runs could use a little work, but they were having fun all the same.

Sorry to the OP about where the Narwhals touched you, can you show us on the dolly?

WH space is harsh and probably not for those with attachment issues to pixels they have earned in game. If Narwhals Ate My Duck did collapse, most of the guys would just go do something else. There's no scarlet letter attached to that alliance.

Max Leadfoot is a good fc. How he ever let me in his fleets is still a mystery to me.

Cmon guys this is getting old. Narwhals can probably assemble the biggest fleets in wspace. They are apparently dying for half a year now :D

As a WH mercenary corp, Narwhals ate my Duck have performed their service admirably for us.

They executed the contract with speed and completed all the terms of the agreement even if they took a few losses in the process. They even provided status updates to keep us informed of the events.

Looking through this thread, I cannot rationalize what I read with what I witnessed. Let me say I am glad I was not on the receiving end. Big smile

I think it's very funny how much drama this fight has created. I was personally involved in the scouting that led to this fight and I'd like to clarify a few points.

1) Anyone who thinks that losing a few bc's will end a corp, much less an alliance, is an idiot. Both sides of that fight had a lot of fun and if anything fights like that reinvigorate people in the long run.

2) The orca kill had little to do with the fight, one of the inhabitants panicked, loaded his **** in his orca and tried to safe-spot/ logoffski. I was actually in a convo with the inhabitants when the orca did this and laughed my ass off when he ragequit and the orca wreck showed up on d-scan. the main fight happened much later.

3) as a side note, while we were already en route to crash the party, one of our guys had the bright Idea to ask the inhabitants how much they would pay for us to blow up the narwhals fleet and we actually got paid 2 bill for our trouble. (shh, dont tell)

4) after the anti-AAA op I think if anything it's clear that while the various wh corps/alliances don't necessarily like each other all of us contribute to making the game more fun. literally the day after we killed narwhals we were fleeted with them and they displayed nothing but optimism and 0 resentment. the general consensus "it was a nice break from pos bashing."

Consider this last point. killboard efficiency isn't that important, let's say Narwhal's had done everything right (crushing both connections and maintaining wh control) they would have bashed a pos without incident. big ******* whoop. instead they got a fleet fight and still fulfilled their contract anyways.

This is very well put...and the fight was more rewarding than the contract...even though i did get podded :) hehe...and besides a bling @ss t3 is hardly worth low class WH POS bashing anyways....wait low class WH POS bashing is hardly worth anything....meh guess i'll just bring another oracle.
