User Experience

  • On a scale of 1-10, how would you compare FPS and performance between this test and TQ? (1=way worse, 5=same, 10=OMG this is awesome) 6

  • If possible, it would be nice to be able to change the position of the buff bar. Due to screen size issues, I have locked targets running from right to left right above the capacitor/module HUD at the bottom of the screen. So if left in its current position, I would have to move the target list up toward the center of the screen in order to keep it from overlapping the status effects icons. That would reduce my field of view quite a bit.

  • Hovering the mouse over or clicking on a buff/debuff icon should produce a list of players generating that effect.

  • On undock, sometimes the client would get stuck with the "Entering Space" window up, and fail to load the capacitor and associated UI. Pressing ESC to regain control of the ship, and docking and undocking, or docking and loading the CQ, resolved the issue.

  • Still getting random red and white flashes, especially when ships warp onto the grid or turn on effects such as target painters and sensor boosters.

  • Still getting random firing effect animations even if guns have never been turned on. It appeared as though a Machariel was shooting dread-sized lasers at my Abaddon, but looking at the Machariel it appeared as though my Abaddon was shooting it.

  • Modules would not turn off. Client would report that the module "is already active." May have been due to load on the node, since modules cycled normally after the fleet fight, in a different system.

  • Searching "10MN" appears to no longer retrieve tech-1 meta (Limited/Experimental) propulsion modules.

  • The market itself is getting rather cluttered. It may be useful to create subcategories for some items. For example, sort armor hardeners into EM/Thermic/Kinetic/Explosive sub-categories.

  • On a somewhat related note, market search needs to be overhauled now more than ever, due to the increase in similarly-named modules. Players should be able to enter "gist shield booster" and get valid results.

  • Overall, performance was somewhat better than on TQ. Client-side lag was noticeable, but that was neither abnormal nor unexpected considering the number of ships on grid.

Did you experience any disconnects or crashes? No, but I re-logged when the HUD vanished on my first undock. Did not know about the workaround.
Did you notice any problems with the buff bar (above the ship ui)? Never saw it. Looked for it, never saw it.
Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: Everything was working until the jump to set the gate camp for the PvP fight. My grid never loaded: Screen of stars, empty overview. The HUD was there, but when I went to planet view and back it disappeared too. Chat still worked. Eventually someone killed my ship. Still no grid. Eventually someone podded me (I was waiting for both of these events to see what would happen.) Podding got me to a station, and on undocking everything was back to normal. By then the test was almost over so I logged.

The non-grid loading has been bug reported, #127878. This bug was reported from a previous Sisi test, and despite that report, it is now live on TQ. But the BHs have set it to non-reproducible, which may make it hard to get fixed. It is reproducible, just do a mass jump.

Did you notice any problems with the buff bar (above the ship ui)? some times the % bars wouldn't display the amount of EHP it would be some display call outs.

I also noticed that the "My Fleet" hierarchy wasn't loading properly, i was actually able to right click on the "FC position" and warp to the FC which was odd. I also noticed several graphics glitches with bubbles which i don't have any screen shots of.

* Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: So laggy, but I blame my own pc for that. Should've set graphic settings lower. Usually disabling brackets and zooming all the way out helps when it lags, but that didn;'t work with so many people on grid and so much happening at the same time.

Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: after my second jump my ship froze t,his was probably my worst mass test, i could not fight at last gate. i spent quite of bite of time trying find a work around for the frozen issue. Frozen, my ship could spin but i could not sub-light or warp anywhere., i had to relog again to fix the issue, at that time i missed the fleet fight.

• Describe your experience, make comments, suggestions, etc.: Removing the fact that there were people who cared more to kill others (While we were not at the stage of Combat) to follow the instructions of the GM, very good and fun. A lot of lag when jumping into the gate, but is Sisi. Keep up the hard work.
