Help a *reforming* carebear prepare to participate in Hulkageddon

As the title says, I've been a carebear most of my days, but am getting the taste for tears. With the incoming Hulkageddon I figured this was as good a time as any.

Now my main issue is that, being a Caldari bear, most of my skills have been for the Raven and Tengu. I have less than 200k out of 12 mil skillpoints in gunnery Sad. I am, however, crosstrained Cruiser 3 for all races and have BC at 4 (was training this to 5 for the upcoming sp change but since it appears it may be some time away I have deprioritized it for now).

Given this, what should be a recommended go-to gank platform that I can maximize about 2 weeks worth of training for? I've head that Catalysts and Thrashers are popular, and that would allow me time to get their respective T2 Guns. However, I'm not sure if it would be enough against a tanked Hulk. Should I be looking at a cruiser/battlecruiser instead? I believe a tier 3 bc such as the Tornado would be ideal but I am unsure if two weeks is really enough time to flesh out an adequate large weapons platform. I will note that cost is not a major factor in whatever ship I fly; I am mostly concerned with efficiency.

Any help or recommendations would be much appreciated!

hehe I stopped playing that horrible game January last year :P

meh, I'm busy ratting in perfect safety, and helping people mine(also in perfect safety) in the nice little safe zone we carved for ourselves.... And this weekend I get to suicide gank a region Bear
