Evemon problem

it used to be that when i hovered over a skill in the skill list on evemon, it would pop up with a balloon stating the training time for that skill etc. It no longer does this, does anyone know why?

Usually i start the month with a postman!

First, these forums are for the official client only, not for third party tools. :) Try asking on the EVEmon sub forum at http://evemon.battleclinic.com/. Make sure to name the exact version you're using as well as your operating system.

But other than that, the behaviour hasn't changed for me? I just opened my skill list, pointed the cursor over a skill and I got the usual popup with remaining skill times, skill points invested, etc. It might be broken in some particulary version, but at least in mine (1.6.1.3616) it works.

Either your machine got infected by a virus that changes the behavior of tool tip pop-ups (I've seen this and have read about it) or something else (like another app you installed or an update, which is highly unlikely to have happened) changed your machines setting for the tool tip pop-ups. You may also notice that no tool tip is displayed on your machine (tray mouse hovering over a tray icon).

you beauty Desmont thank you. your description gave me the keywords required to find a fix, here was the issue

1. Click on Start -> Run
2. Type in "regedit" press "OK"
3. Expand "HKEY_CURRENT_USER"
4. Expand "Software"
5. Expand "Microsoft"
6. Expand "Windows"
7. Expand "CurrentVersion"
8. Expand "Explorer"
9. Expand "Advanced"
10. Take a look in the left hand pane see if there is an entry for "EnableBalloonTips" and post back the value.



EnableBalloonTips = 0 (REG_DWORD)

change to 1
