[Event] Pax Dominatus Release Party and Social

This social season is already looking particularly dreadful, what with the usual boring affairs and what I'm sure will be a rather dull "gathering of the heathens" festival or what-have-you later this month. A group of Matari dancing around the firelight moaning about the state of things. * Silas feins a yawn *

Time for some levity!

I've decided to combine my upcoming book release with a rather extravagant capsuleer party. Come one, come all!

There will be drinking, dancing, sophisticated conversation, and of course delightful entertainment of all sorts.

Our last event was quite successful, with about 50 capsuleers in attendance. Now, before we hear any criticisms of the 'surprise' aspect of the last event, I'll assure everyone from the outset that this event is purely for entertainment, and I can assure all attendants of no 'surprise guets' or 'announcements' of any sort.

Exquisite company, exquisite fashion, come see and be seen.

Details will be forthcoming, but we'll be aiming for roughly a month from now.

Date and Time: Saturday June 2, 19:00 EVE

Location: Secure and private location to be disclosed to invitees prior to event. We shan't be bothered by any authorities sticking their noses in our festivities, so be not concerned on that front.

Dress Code: As always dress-to-impress, but this is not a 'formal' affair. Dress however you feel appropriate for an evening amongst New Eden's most wealthy and famous capsuleers.

Ammenities: There shall be space for dancing, enlightened conversation, live performance appreciation, and of course for sampling the finest culinary delights this side of Dam Torsad. I'm bringing out some very special cases of the Vitalia vineyards YC 85 as well.

Decorum: This is a party, so we expect our guests to have -fun- in a secure and respectful manor. "Cut Loose" as they say. Of course any spoiling of the atmosphere will be frowned upon, but we're all adults, neh?

Pax Dominatus: Each guest will of course recieved a signed copy of my upcoming release, which is a spiritual / philosophical / tactical / panacea for capsuleers with open minds cluster-wide. A collection of musings, thoughts, and a tip of the veritable iceberg for how we see the world around us, and accepting our power to change it.

Individual invitations will be going out in the next 24 hours.

Aww, and I already had such an amusingly cutting jab ready to write in response. It was going to be something about you surprising us all by going back to the service of King Khanid, or some such. I hadn't quite finished the wording. I assure you, it would be quite hilarious, and would bring the slight urge to chuckle.

At any rate, I'm really not sure how trustworthy you are regarding this. I'm sure there will be plenty of levity and entertainment, as you suggest... but I'm concerned about how out of control this party will be.

Remember, at the end of the last one you did burn down your own mansion. Combine that with the wild stories of Revan Neferis' competitions, the religious focus on blood your compatriots share, and your own self admitted state of glorious piracy.... I'm not convinced showing up would be beneficial to my health.

Tempting though.

Well, Silas did declare after her last social affair that she wasn't going to be quite the same sort of Sabik as Revan. From what I've seen so far she has made good on that declaration so I doubt there will be any undue risk beyond foggy memories of a blissful night spent with good company and better drink.

Besides, all the best things in life bear some risk, parties are no different.

I have to admit I do have a certain morbid interest in what this event would entail. You see, I believe we have quite different ideas of what 'entertainment' and 'exquisite company' articulate, exactly.

I suppose that you will just be project managing the event but not actually attending?

I can assure you nothing at the last event was 'out of control' *smiles*

And you certainly don't have to worry about your health, I know you are quite capable of taking care of yourself. It's a party, nothing nefarious will be going on.

Your company will sorely be missed, but should you reconsider we'll make sure you have a lovely evening.

Not that I am confirming anything or doing anything other than gossip mongering, but there is a rumour floating through the networks that several well loved members of the True Slave Foundations will be making an appearance due to the delightful time we had at your last party.

Will we need to RSVP or will there be enough spare libations to ensure that everyone is taken care of?

All True Slave Foundation members are cordially invited, and I've saved a special case of wine for you all.

Thank you to everyone who has been contacting me privately for more information on our event. I expect invitations to be sent out within the next week or two, and a date selected for the festivities.

Everyone who attended our last event will be sent a personal mail from myself, and of course some new guests are to be expected.

This is much more an 'informal' affair than last time, so dress code will be up to the attendants of course. But as always, 'dress to impress!'

After hearing what I missed at your last party, I would like to attend this one if I'm able. I'm fairly sure I could 'talk' Katrina into being my date for the evening if I can make it.

I'm long overdue for a proper party. Barring easy kills showing up on my new doorstep, I would like to attend.

Done, Done, and Done. Welcome all three.

Again another thanks too all of the private correspondance I've been receiving. Planning continues of course and we'll be sending out those invitations before too long.

I would assume shes playing at releasing a book and having a few capsuleers over for a social, very controversial and frowned apon.

If you wanted an invitation you just had to ask, dear.

But I'm not playing at anything. The Capsuleer social calendar has been dead as a doornail lately, which we are uniquely qualified to improve upon.

No gimmicks and no stunts, just a fantastic evening with the rich and famous.
