How strong are the PLEX money sink effects? Fanfest and 3D card?

I presume the money sink effect of vanity items is minimal, but do we have any idea what the impact of the PLEX-for-fanfest and PLEX-for-graphics-card are?

It's obvious to me that CCP intends these to function as ISK faucets, but are they working? How big is their impact, in the grand scheme of things?

PLEX only causes the ISK to change hands between players. The only sink here are the taxes/broker fees. So... not a whole lot in regards to sinks/faucets.

It's effect as far as RMT goes, well, that's a whole other subject and the effect is much greater.

In what way does money change hands between players, when one players decides to purchase a Fanfest ticket or a graphics card, by giving PLEX to CCP?

He was responding to this: "It's obvious to me that CCP intends these to function as ISK faucets"

No ISK is created when PLEX is purchased. If anything, ISK is sunk when broker fees/taxes are applied to exchange them for ISK.

He replied that PLEX is not a faucet of ISK, but causes an exchange of ISK.

CCP does not put PLEX up on the markets, players do that AFTER they bought it from CCP. So any PLEX traded ingame does NOT sink any isk, it's just switching of assets between players.

Correct. Its a PLEX sink which in turn will force PLEX prices to raise so players will have it harder to finance a game account purely with ISK which gives CCP more money because they sell more PLEX :)

A person who has given 20 plex for a 120$ GTX card now has 20 plex Less, to replace those PLEX he/she must now pay roughly 450-500M per plex, or 10B isk, in effect taking his 10B isk out of the market.
There can be No contesting, that the PLEX worth X amount of ISK are now gone, their face value has bin taken out of the game.

100 of these cards where available, in other words 1T isk has permanently left the EvE world.

Perhaps, it would be nice to see the same thing being done except with blueprints, ones that cost roughly that of PLEX, or outright ISK for GTX cards.

Common we all know what this is about.

Kara, you really need to read threads before kneejerk replying.

1T isk has not left EVE.

Come on, at least try.
