Even if I had to pay 60% of the card value in taxes, It wouldn't bother me.
It's still cheaper than buying it in a store.

And I can always buy more plexes in jita if I should ever need them.

Ok, i had a reply to my petition again :

Hello,

Got an answer from nVidia in regards to that.

The value of the item at $185 and list it as a "free gift" on the invoice. They, at nVidia, will be attempting to incur all shipping costs, so /hopefully/ there will not be any taxes or customs to be paid. This of course can go sour, but we at least trying to make it so that there will not be any additional cost.

Good to see ccp (From what i can gather) have been trying their hardest to get some info about this. I apologised to the gm via a reply. and i'll do it here as well, that i have been "maaaad" at times about all of this/ communications etc.

As i said, or tried to say a few pages earlier, is this is a new "venture" for ccp and there was bound to be "teething problems", which , we seem to have "helped them" find/solve :) At least next time (and i am sure there WILL be a next time) they run this event, they'll hopefully know what info to publish/announce regarding where its shipped from, valuation, etc etc


Anyways, just wanna say a thank you to CCP and NVIDIA for this great offer/promotion

i got sms from FedEx today where they asked for delivery address and some purchase confirmation for customs tax or VAT or whatever.. i sent them the 20 PLEX confirmation. no idea what happens now. according to them it should be here friday evening.

I will cherish mine and enjoy playing with the card, after she dies from old age i will just keep her as a souvenir from CCP :)

In the UK a "Gift" will incur slightly lower cost.

It's not really a great offer/promotion ;P...
CCP have done RMT sales and sold $350 worth of virtual goods and then sent out $135 Gift (Gifts are tax deductable) to you.
Could net them $250 profit each card (not bad eh?).

Just got it. It's the non-GTi version. Delivery guy didn't seem to charge anything, can't see where I'm supposed to pay any tax. He was from FedEx as expected, so I'd be very surprised if the Royal Mail wanted to be payed for handling as someone suggested. Overall, pretty happy. Lol

aww **** i think i just got ****** by FedEx Bulgaria.... my package is in different city, they have 8 different taxes i have to pay (they even have 9th if i don't want the package), shitton of paper work has to be send in less than 4 days or i have to pay warehouse tax every day. Now i need to find a lawyer, notary, Bank statement, paypal, or credit card statement with wich i bought the shippment wich i don't have ofcourse. All of this before its even cleared from the customs wich will have the 20% VAT and some other taxes yet to be known. :))))

Just got a call from fedex - they asked me to send them copy of invoice and some authorization (for customs process I guess).

I specifically asked them about taxes/customs duties and the answer was "it depends on customs officers but I shouldn´t pay anything if it goes well." Big smile

so far no notice from fedex via phone but the total transit should be MAX 3-4 working days from US to EU
