Well, as a guy that flies cruiser or smaller most of the time, I have no intention of maxing large drones, sentinels, or the BS skill. So, yeah, I usually stick a rack of large rails on there to augment my long-range DPS on large ships. Doesn't take a lot of extra to break NPC tank most times.

Were I actually fully maxed on all BS skills I guess I could see what you're saying, though.
