i dont see how.

Rattlesnake has
4 launcher points,
no launcher damage bonus.
same drone bonus as domi.

domi has
6 gun slots.
A bonus to large hybrids
and the same drone bonus as the snake.


yeah rattlesnake has a better tank. but the domi can perma tank all level 4s anyway.

Pirate ships are meant to be better than tech 2 ships... i say give the rattle snake another launcher bay at least.

Domi = good tank extreme DPS
RS = good DPS extreme tank.

RS can solo lvl5s.

Also, it takes much less time to max damage skill either cruises or torps than it does to do large blasters or large rails. So on a time to max damage, the RS is much faster.

Also... do people actually fit guns to their Domi's?

Sometimes. They hit around 1400 dps.

It doesn't, Domi Navy issue I'll agree with you is a hell of a SHIELD dps ship if you have strong shield and hybrid skills because Domin once you shield tank it you have more low slots to fit dmg mods than you really need.

Once you figure out how, you have top skills and can get the best out of missiles+drones, you'll be amazed to see how much an RS can tank or dps.

What a thread with people trying to cleverly hold back basic fittings.

Dominix does more dps than the rattlesnake in both shieldgank and armorgank setups.
The Rattlesnake won't need any pimp mods to do decent dps. The Rattlesnake has more room for damage application mods like omni tracklinks and TP's.
Navy Dominix is "the best" currently since it will have better applied dps than the Dominix, and/or it can shield tank sufficiently without implants making it a pretty pve boat outside L4's as well.

Drone damage mod has the potential of turning the whole picture upside down. If it's a highslot, Rattlesnake will really shine as will the Gila. If it's a lowslot, Navy Dominix will potentially be the next cookie cutter pve ship. If it's a midslot... well I'll leave this for you to think out.
