Vietnam was the first war fought in the living room as well as the Battlefield. Everytime the Vietnamese put an amry in the field the US utterly crushed them.

Also Vietnam was the first and last war the US fought from the Oval Office. Never since has the Command Authority been allowed to manage operations at such a microscopic level. Which is one of the reasons we haven't lost a war since.

The Vietnamese are hardcore but we lost that war, they did not win it. We let politics and public perception matter more than it should have. No clear cut objective, fighting only on [officially] South Vietnamese soil. Had we invaded the North in force it would have been over in months. Or it would have sparked a nuclear war. Cool
