Security status is useless, -10.0 fleets in highsec

Hi there,
several times now i saw FLEETS of blinky -10.0 guys in Trashers flying around in highsec without problems.
The search for easy targets like miners or so and kill them without any problems.

HOW THE HELL can it be possible for -10 guys to get into secured space with their ships without beeing shot by any police or something? The whole security status is useless without such restrictions.
They are flagged as criminals but can fly and hunt in secured areas like any other player without any chance to catch them, if they find their target it gets suicide killed within seconds through the insane damage of these trashers. It costs the pirates approx 2-3m isk, but they gain several millions of loot and salvage.
And they can do it again.. and again... and again... and again... because security status doesn't matter.
USELESS SECURITY, LIKE I SAID.

I'm not against this kind of suiciding miners with Trashers, but with the current system its like without any penalties for suiciders. -10 doesn't matter at all, they can still do their criminal business in highsec forever

PLS FIX IT CCP OR DELETE SECURITY STANDINGS BECAUSE THEY ARE CURRENTLY USELESS!!!!!

Yeah the sec status thing only work for people that "want" to traverse peacefully thru highsec... but since people have alts its kinda worthless as they will always have access to highsec in someway

And yeah pods can freely go anywhere, then have there orca friend drop him a dessie and you can repeat that all day long
I mean you can turn a highsec jump gate into a graveyard and only lose a 2-3mil dessie... the only thing holding you back is how many dessies you can fit into a orca

I say if you're a -10 npc's have the right to pod you, since you don't care about sec status anyways and do as you please... it would at least make sec status matter again

I think the problem isnt that pods can fly around in High but that dessis, friggies and so on can pass several systems through normal gates without much trouble.

On a serious note, -10 means that you can travel, but cannot roam around. The time that we shoot down a miner is the time needed by concord ships to warp to us. Insta-dying from concord at all times would be against the nature of the game, which is in general violence. One wise man once told me that in EVE "you are never safe, not even in highsec. Only inside a station you are completely safe".
Plus, there are ways to avoid such acts, however it would be bad for business to explain you how to.

Remember that if its a lower security high sec, such as 0.6 or even 0.5 Concord response time for -10.0 pilots is quite slow. Watch the video. From when the presenter presses 'yes' to commit a crime in highsec, that is the amount of time a -10.0 has when they enter highsec 0.5 space. Aproximately 15 seconds total (or thereabouts) before Concord will even come to the site where your ship is and agress the -10 pilots. I hope that answers your question.

Yeah, good point. By the same reasoning how the hell can it be possible for Guristas, Serps, Angels, Blood Raiders, and those ever persistent Sansha to be flying around in secured space without being shot at by space police, there's thousands of them and they seem to be everywhere! CCP should do something about that!

this is wrong, dont even get me started on the guy in the video you linked.

IF you are -10 concord are chasing you around in high sec. so they will warp to you as soon as you exit warp.

to the op are you going to make another thread when the goons attack jita?

OP: there is a difference between how NPCs react to below -5 sec status and to GCC (global criminal counter). The latter is intended to get you toasted for certain and avoiding the consequence is considered an exploit. The former just gets you chased by them without scrambling and as long as you keep on moving you can actually traverse highsec and even shoot at things a bit. If you should warp scramble such a flashy though, NPCs will show up to blow him up real fast.

So sec status is not "useless" in regards to police action, but it is not a guarantee of instant pop either.

Similar mechanics hold to very negative standing to the high-sec faction and to FW status. E.g. a Minmatar Militia member with abysmal Amarrian standings can go to Amarrian highsec and even do somethng there, but the operations they can engage in are severely limited by being chased by the local Navy.

And if you feel like complaining about this, keep in mind that as far as CCP is concerned, it is not a bug but a feature, so if you want it changed you will need to post it as a Feature request, not a General Discussion whine about how it is wrong.

I dunno...The OP may be on to something. maybe -10's should not be allowed to activate a hisec stargate, And upon tryin the ship they are in should spontaniously combust causing catastrophic damage to the pod and disfiguring the toons face. All the while initiating a 15 minute self destruct timer that bio masses the space-vatar shortly after the timer expires.

And to anyone even thinking of going negative ten, There should be a mind reading device that upon thinking of said criminal act a space-fist materializes from nowhere to punch them in the ear, When its freezing! OUCH!

Signatures wer cooler when we couldn't remove them completely.
