Now that implants are tracked on pod kill mails, can we get a skill book and modual that gives a chance to recover a implant from a frozen corps?

Yes please, and with a new skillset to make it happen, but including such skills as biology and stuff that already exist, would be awesome, not salvage actual implants but salvage components that you can use to manufacture new ones. Implants need to be part of the player driven market too.

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

I'd vote for that too.

I'd vote for it too, if removing clone costs and the need to upgrade were removed.

No thanks. Would harm a good isk sink in the game.

Sounds like fun, just make the salvage rate low enough that implants remain an isk sink.

Ad a skill book called called brain surgeon ( or what ever name doesn't matter).

Ad 2 mods
corpse salvager
corpse salvager 2 ( needs cybernetics 5 and the new skill book 5 )

target the corpse with the new mods- the corpse is destroyed much like a salvaged wreck, and you gain x % chance to gain one of the implants.

Yes please, as long as you're not getting the same implants out as the guy put in (for the reason ES mentioned). Instead, make it parts salvage for some new and rather different set of implants that has to be manufactured from the surviving bits and pieces you manage to carve out of the poor sap's head.

Have you reported this as a bug?

I suggested this years ago, but the devs said we dont track implants that are destroyed when a pod is killed.

well now we do track them.... make it happen.

Fiction wise, it wouldn't make sense if you could just fly up to a corpse and suck the implants out of its head, it would have to be done through a stations service. But either way, it would be cool.

It's not an ISK sink. No ISK leaves the economy.

It is an ISK sink when people buy the from the LP store, which, is exactly where all the implants these days come from, bar the ones from the tutorials and missions.

really?

i must be missing something then? people lose implants, they buy new ones- that is a isk sink.
By giving the ability to retrieve a implant even if its one implant per corpse damages the isk sink.
