Hi fellas,
I'm a Rifleman in the British Army currently on ops in Helmand province; basically this is my situation:

After a long hiatus I've decided to come back to EVE after tour just to check out what's new with all the new patches that have come up since I last played. Unfortunately the internet they provide us out here in our PB has a firewall that blocks both port 26000 and the other one, so I'm unable to connect to the server to start my training queue again.

If you reckon you could help me out by logging in for me and queuing up some skills (probably just 1 that takes ages) please send me an eve-mail.

Cheers

If you are suggesting account sharing, that´s a bannable offense so don´t do that.

A solution might be to sell your char, have it trained and buy it back once you are back home......

salaam alaikum Tri Vetra, when you sort yourself out and learn how to shoot I'll let you know where I am :P Until then please tell your mates to stop leaving little presents for us in the ground, they're irritating :P

I would suggest emailing a close friend or family member that you trust with your info and detailed instructions about how to add in a skill or two to your queue. The problem with asking a random forum-goer to do it is that, knowing Eve players, they'll most likely take your account and run with it (and add that to the fact that it's blatantly against the EULA and you're discussing it on the forums).

Emailing someone you trust both increases the odds of you still having your account when you get home and it isn't blatantly flaunting breaking EULA on the forums.

Disclaimer: Sharing your account info with anyone, for any reason, is a EULA violation and on your head be it if you do so. I'm not endorsing any specific actions, merely speaking about hypothetical possibilities Blink

Cmon man, are you serious?

This is eve after all.. The most back stabbing, thieving, ruthless low lives in all of the MMOs describes your average eve player. People scam for measly hundreds of mils and post in forums about it. And you want to give them your account info to them?

The most probable outcome would be you'l lose your account the minute you give it to him. Don't do it.

Someone better help this guy or he will start shooting afghan civilians... It's trendy these days.

He said he was a Brit mate....

Petition CCP and get them to update it for you... if they don't remind them we still ain't impressed with how their banks went under ;)

Just email CCP, they probably do it. I actually don't see any reason why they wouldn't. Though it may take them awhile to get around to doing it, the other option as others have mention is to get a close friend or relative to do it for you. I wouldn't trust anyone on the forums or you know from in game as were all a bunch of evil sick sadistic bastards looking for our next pay day. And if it we weren't it's better to assume so with this game.

Now that is out of the way. Stay safe and come back home safely.

Welcome to Eve. Everyone here is an Evil Sick Sadistic Bastard who is out to get you. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either trying to scam you or use you.

I'm sure there are many who would be genuinely pleased to help you out and are trustworthy, myself included, but we won't be helping you because we don't want to get banned by CCP.

I'm also pretty certain that if you got a relative to dl the client and log in for you to switch skills then CCP have bigger fish to fry than proving it wasn't you. I bet every player might have done that at least once ;)

situation is squared, cheers for the feedback gents. I knew from the start it was a bit of a long shot but in the end everything worked out. I guess you could call it karma...

and yeah, I'm a brit, we don't slot civvies and we don't burn korans. Very clever though :)

I was ashamed that so many embaressing and shameful acts have happened from U.S. military, but honestly when people make the military volunteer and encourage it as a last resort to many different folks, you get some rotten ones.

They apparently don't teach common sense in the army. So, account stolen yet? Too lazy to read the rest of the thread.
