Planetary Customs Office is charging 10% from water export/import at the assumed market price of 500 isk per unit. The price of water has never been this high. Customs is ripping people off by assuming water is worth 500 isk. Perhaps before when there were NPC buy orders, now good luck finding a buy order for 200 isk. Same goes with Superconductors. Is there any offical thread to planetary interaction I should be following?

Customs also assumes that raw materials cost 7.5 isk per unit and charges taxes accordingly to old buy/sell orders. I've lost millions of isk and learned a valuable lesson, Plantary Interaction, just like this game's developers are worthless.

I try to understand how come many people say that PI is a profitable business when the only option to sell ur stuff is to fill buy orders as nothing seems to sell otherwise. And the buy orders are way too low to cover the expenses, taxes and time spent in production. I may be wrong because I'm new to the game, but nothing I listed on a trade hub market gather any interest. And I tried to produce/sell everything.. water, biomass, toxic metal.. no luck.

Maybe PI was a profitable business, but now seems to be a time and isk sink,,,

The Tax system is plainly broken, and a ******** design decision by CCP.

CCP tried to play the role of government, creating a policy based on what it assumed was the market price. Like all governments, it failed at this task.

Instead of percentages of some arbitrary number, POCO owners should set tax values explicitly on the P0-P5 they want to set and set them in ISK terms 0.05 for P0s, 10 ISK for P1s, even zero if they want. And add POCOs to high sec and allow them to be subject to wardecs.

Liberate PI from the deadly clutches of government bureaucrats!

PI market is flooded with pre-Crucible wares. Once those are gone, if ever, things will get a little better. However due to 0% tax in nullsec i imagine high sec PI will never be as profitable as it was.
