Its pretty clear you dont get you can message the CSM and have them talk to CCP about your ideas

kinda how a survey would work

Uh.. voting between two choices and taking a survey are two different things.

Yes, the survey they can completely ignore
Kinda harder to ignore a perswon in front of you

Plus, youd have to figure out a way to FORCE everyone to fill it out or is only represents a portion of the game

(kinda the problerm with the CSM)

Goons; infiltration at its best - first bob... now ccp itself. They dont realize you guys dot take this as "just a game". Bring it down guys, we're rooting for you.

Ah, right on. I suppose that's cool, though I'd like to see something more transparent, simple, and easily accessible. If a Dev posted "We have one week on our hands - should we do A or B?" into General Discussion, it would get better visibility and create more of a connection, in my opinion.

And how many players visit the forums?

I couldn't provide anything but an estimate. Could you?

Clearly the idea here would be to encourage players to participate in voting - and to develop a sense of ownership in the game. People don't take rental cars to the car wash, but they're much more likely to take care of the shiny cars they actually own.

I would never have expected that people would NOT want to provide their input in this way. Though I suppose exceeding the recommended daily dose of EVE forums could put most people in insane asylums...

Probably not a representative slice of the population. Same as those that subscribe to the News Letter or could actually be arsed to learn about their "shiny car" they actually own.

I agree in principle, giving players a voice is a good idea. I think making them aware of the existing mechanisms is a good idea. I don't think it needs to go further than that.

After all, you have not taken surveys and yet you feel this is an important issue. I do as well and I take every survey.
