What is EVE Mentat trade tool?

EVE Mentat is a handy trade tool for EVE Online.

This tool helps your to track and manage your orders, wallet and transactions for your characters and corporations. The tool checks whether your orders are on top of the market or were beaten by rivals, helps you to analyze the market and find profitable positions, and gives you instruments to automate gathering of market information from EVE Online.

Will this trade tool be useful for me?

The tool is extremely useful for the following EVE Online professions:

  • Traders (including trade hub profiteers)
  • Manufacturers who prefer to sell their goods themselves
  • Agent runners and hunters who want to track the income from killing NPCs
  • Corporate logists who want to track the total cost of purchased goods
  • People who want to keep and analyze journal and transactions for a long period of time

This tool gives you control over hundreds of orders and thousands of market positions you are interested in. Gathering market information from EVE Online and managing your orders takes minutes instead of hours.

How the tool works

EVE Mentat trade tool downloads character and corporation information via EVE Online API or reads it from EVE Online client’s cache. Downloaded order, transaction, journal and market information is stored in the EVE Mentat’s database and used to check your orders against the market.

Been thinking about this (I'm using it. It's great. Thanks), and what I'd like to see in it, in addition to what it already does, is a value for the minerals that you have.

Mostly to keep the small graph from dropping every time that I buy a bunch of Trit to make stuff with. Biggest problem I can see is that you'd have to hit the assets API as well, to make it drop when used. unless you make the drop a manual one and just increment when you see a buy order being filled.

It's far from a major issue though. Just my OCD kicking in Blink

Do you want to calculate mineral cost of your assets and see the graph with total actives including wallet and assets cost?

Hi!

Just downloaded your application and I'm playing around with it. Just a couple questions:

1. You have character transactions but no corporate transactions?

2. There doesn't seem to be a way to initiate the update of all characters and instead you have to go one by one?

3. You also don't track assets?

The reason I'm curious about this is that I station trade with 5 accounts and 15 trade alts. Currently around 3,000 market orders or so but it'll be more soon enough. I basically use my corp as a central hub for my trade alts where all trades are corporate oriented. This allows me to centralize my escrow so a more "meta" view of my trades would make things much more useful.

Thanks!

bah. forgot to tick recieve notifications.

Pretty much, yes. Just use the self cost for the minerals, I'd think?

But... you know, you really want to support the CAK system. Any plans for implementing that?

Okay, I must be missing something simple. When I use the export button from the Market, it says it is putting the data in the Market logs folder that is within my Owner/Documents Folder section. When I try to put that path in Eve Mentat I get the big red X. The program won't eve try it. I've looked where the Eve Mentat website says the path should be and there is no data there.

Seems like you muddle up file and cache import.
Use proper configuration tab for the file import.

This release (1.1.25.736) pulled a keylogger alert in Norton Antivirus (Version 18.6.0.29) Yes, Mentat obtained from official website, yes ran it by VirusTotal (which I have no reason whatsoever to trust btw)- which passed. Go figure...

1.1.24 did not get flagged by Norton.

Incarna - Newest business example of mismanaged capital. CCP - Continuing to gank independent PI producers every day

As always you have no proofs.
Is it so difficult to make screenshot and provide link to VirusTotal scan result?

I've just tested all executables and DLLs from EVE Mentat 1.1.25.736 and it's clear as always.

First time I've ever written about Mentat, so you can stuff the "As always..." where appropriate.

VirusTotal

BTW - I only knew about VirusTotal because of the comment that I found on your support page where someone else posted this same issue about one of the releases (don't remember if current or a past release)

Norton pitched a fit at the point right after I pasted in the API key and hit submit, btw. Maybe that will help you out. Perhaps you need to get with Norton/Symantec.

I don't have time to post the screen shot, but I will post the results from the Norton quarantine:

I am getting this error message. I have tried it with your default API requirements and I have tried it with full API access.
