They are all correct. It depends on what you want to do with them. The Minmatar ships usually have a similar number of low and mid slots and generally lend themselves well to armor or shield tanking. Their great base speed also lends them well to speed tanking.

Many minmatar ships can do either. Hurricanes, Tempests, Ruptures, etc. can easily perform well with either an armor or shield tank. Basically, if it has enough slots to get an extender/plate and a hardener or two, you can probably make it work.

I used to have a clever sig but I lost it.

Armour, shield, or speed tank for minmatar?
Yes.

You'll need skills for all three to fly minmatar ships properly.

~~Versatility~~

Minmatar ships do everything. That is why they are rather hard to train up for, as you need gunnery, missile, drone, neuting, armor, and shield skills to take advantage of the whole lineup. There are some ships (like the Rifter or Hurricane) that can be effectively fit either with armor or shield, with a large variety in possible setups.

Good news is that if you can fly all Minmatar ships, you only have to train some minor racial skills to fly any other race of ships well. No complete re-specs required.

Yes.

Minmatar ships armor, speed, and shield tank, depending on the ship and intended role. Many of their ships can do all three of them in different configurations depending on the pilot's intended use for the ship.

Most fit armor tanks for pvp because the medium slots are usually taken by pvp holly trinity: speed mod+web+scram.

Some fit just armor buffer with plate and armor resists, others fit plate+armor resist+rep, others fit plate+rep.

If you are in a gang and don't need to scram, then you can fit whatever tank you like because you will have enough slots for either.

You can simply go for armor tank and ignore shield tank, that way you can fly matari and amarr.

Speed tanking does not exist. Speed can only augment existing tank; you will virtually never be taking zero damage in any situation.

Depending on the ship (sometimes depending on the fitting), Minmatar can do either.

Don't forget sig tanked!! (Which works quite well with speed tanked.)
