Could we have a way to shut off warp+jump?

The way the jump button behaves now is really dangerous. Two main things I dislike about it:

1. It should never be used to begin with as you may change your mind when you land. Thus the only time it gets used by people who know better is accidentally.

2. Unlike before, you could be sure you were in jump range by looking at the button. Greyed out means you better get closer. This was useful!

So, CCP....could we get a method whereby we can configure the old behavior?

Failing that, could we at least get a way to change our minds during warp instead of having to spam 'stop' and hope we get it through at the right moment?

1. Hit stop/ctrl + spacebar
2. Look at your distance. 2,500m is jump range.

You have a warp-to button AND a jump button.

If you really don't want to jump on contact, don't hit the ******* jump button till after you exit warp using the warp-to command.

As for it greying out when out of range, If your eyes cant be bothered to move their view to your overview for 0.2 seconds to see if your in range you got more issues than I care to address.

You are seriously coming on the forums QQing like a sad little toddler that can't be bothered to adapt.
Please GTFO of EVE.

Wow. Really? Are you so hard up for tears that you gotta get all mad and **** over someone suggesting a change? What's it like being that mentally unbalanced?

Just use the warp to button and ignore the warp+jump.. Problem solved.

Well obviously from your peon-like lack of comprehension, it is quite obvious that you DO have problems.

If that is seriously the best response you have, I more than stand by my original response.
In fact the further you show your own idiocy and ineptitude I will probably regret not being more harsh.

Watch out guys! We got ourselves a bad ass here!!!

Roll

BTW, simply being stupid != "harsh". If you want to be harsh, there's got to be some semblance of a purpose to it.

Not asking for it to go away either. I want the option because it doesn't fit my play style.

Asking for pointless functionality that already exists is stupid.

And yes the functionality he wants is there, just not the way he would prefer.

+1 for configurable buttons
-1 for removal or disabling of jump button

Recommendation for current UI: learn to change your habits to use the warp-to button instead.

CCP has given you the tools to perform EXACTLY as you did prior to the Jump button change.
You have all the functionality you did previously.

You are obviously not only small-minded but lazy as well.

In all honesty its people like you who damage games by asking for devs to cater the most pointless individual wants.

You are playing THIER game, if you want to play adapt or GTFO.

This. You can hit stop ship mid warp and it cancels the jump. Simples.

Was positive you were wrong and so just tested it. Guess they fixed that. Used to have to get it right at the moment you came out of warp.

Shows how often I use this "feature".

They should just allow people to customize the UI windows like most other games do. You don't like the jump button, fine, mod it so it's not there ...

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

I tend to think that I tell the devs what I want and let them decide what's worth implementing or not.

But you know better I'm sure.

And you're right. I'm lazy. On the other hand, I actually have a rather abnormally large brain. My mellon should be in the record books for being absolutely freakish in size. I can't even find a decent fit for a hat.
