RvB; loved universally by anyone who has played or plays EVE. I think that perhaps it's time to rethink our opinions on these training corps. For anyone who might be living under a chunk of Veldspar in Chribba's sex pen; Red Federation and Blue Republic are two alliance who are perpetually at war. Members of the two alliance engage in elite PVP in the systems surrounding their bases. Thing is; most of these members are in frigates, battlecruisers, and cruisers and there is never any doctrine enforced. The noobs fly around in a big motley blob of shitfit omen's and such "learning" how to PVP. In reality, they are only being setup to fail. Maybe if they actually knew how to fit ships, or that 1v1s are not a normal occurence in EVE, or that bringing a Drake to a fleet with Guardians is NOT ok RvB would serve its purpose.

Even EVE-Uni are better than RvB for learning how to PVP; except they do it the boring route, lectures and rants by old british guys who probably wear tophats. People even metagame in RvB, seriously? You need spys to catch a bunch of noobs in t1 cruisers flying around aimlessly? RvB is a group of noobs, in badly fit ships, flying around with bad FC's. When those noobs go to join a real PVP corp they will be rejected, because no, we don't want your PVP fit Augoror (teh ****?). Really the only good thing RvB is good for is for giving me cheap targets who can be guaranteed upon to fly badly, fit badly, and die in a blazing fire.

Some of them learn to PVP ok, but other than that, why complain?

Because the point of RvB is purported to be training noobs how to P V P but instead it sets them up to fail.

If you're trolling and feeling hungry I suggest that you go to C&P, I hear it's a circlejerk, you'll fit right in. I'd appreciate it if only serious discussion was had here.

I have my qualms about the group,
I one of my LTs went to observe and confirmed my suspicions the pvp there is second rate.
Now I am down a LT.

Thanks guys, LTs are not easy to replace around here and stop wondering why I get angry every time on of your alts posts in SWA.

At least SWA-G does allow a degree of freedom but we're more than happy to frown questionable fits and ships.

Harden. The. F*ck. Up.

EDIT: RvB is also good for padding killboards, but, frankly, it's really fun. I don't see why anyone could hate it... It's PVP, just without the supercap blobs you get elsewhere.

Last I heard they were more about being a gateway to casual pvp. None of this elite pvp bullshit that puts a lot of people off.

The purpose of RvB is for its members to have fun pew-pewing each other.

The HUGE error you made is assuming that RvB is a 1337 PvP academy sort of thing. It isn't. It is a place where newbies and bitter vets alike can blow the crap out of each other for lulz on relatively even terms.

That being said, RvB is still a place you can learn to PvP and fit ships properly, or cut you teeth FCing you just have to actually ask for advice from the many not-so-bitter vets that are members.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Sometimes when I post, I look at my sig and wish that I'd follow my own god damned advice.

i'm sorry you feel that unless there is a cluster fail on a gate where 200 people attack a rifter is real pvp.
