Well, the good thing is that it will sort of change sov fighting. I hope that is. This is purely subjective thought for the points I am about to make.

1st: OP, hellcat fleet is heavy pulse amarr battleships. Typically baddon, but I have seen armageddon fits as well.

2nd: More use of lower cost Tier 1 ships. Armageddons, typhoons, domi and if people started using scorp with changes would be interesting

3rd: Random wars being more costly will allow the better establishment of Infrastructure in sov space. Hopefully this will allow for more real industrialists to get in as part of the alliance and not just renters. The sov that can have a better solid industry base making your ships and guns, the better your own strength will be.

To quote Lfod Shi

The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.

For the uninitiated, such as I, what is a Hellcat fleet? I gather it's T2 fit battleships. But which ships? Minmatar / 1400 / Scimi fleet? What's the composition of such a fleet?

From what I understand it is a high-DPS, high-resists, med range (50-100 km) armor battleship fleet (commonly Abaddons) with Guardian support meant to pile on damage quickly and effectively. A counter to Drake blobs, I believe.

Correct, HellCats are a counter to drakes, AlphaFleet and PanicGeddons are counters to HellCats, Low-sig/High resist/speed fleets like AHACs and Thundercats counter AlphaFleet and PanicGeddons, and Drakes are a viable counter for AHACs and sometimes Thundercats.

What a vicious Cycle we live.

Incorrect, HellCats are based on Abaddons with Tracking Computers, Loki/Proteii for tackle and Guardians for support. The Armageddon doesn't have the Tank to sport in a HellCat fleet.
