I don't have a problem.

I think it's funny that people care THAT much about their internet, fake, pseudo self that they hide behind a second fake self to protect it.

It's kind of sad that many people who play EVE care that much about a video game that they are afraid to share their own opinion from their main fake self.

Where it gets really interesting is when you're actually just a new(er) player, but people automatically assume you're a sock puppet poster simply because you know what you're talking about. I guess the only "legitimate posters" are long-time players entrenched in well-known corps who make fools of themselves by posting garbage.

Really, it's just ad hominem fallacy. "I can't win this argument through logical debate, therefore I'll just attack the person I'm debating."

But in Eve, I am Esan Vartesa. In Eve, you can chase Esan down, gank him, wardec him, grief him, etc.

So while Esan protects the real person controlling him, all value and accomplishments in Eve are entirely invested in him. As such, there is risk in being a total ******.

This is another completely short sighted view bording on complete stupidity. Didn't the recent event of mitanni teach people anything?

People don't want to post with their main because some drunken, big mouth, sociopath will feel it is their mission in life to track someone down in game and grief them continually simply because they were offended *sniff* with a forum posting. Or even to threaten them in real life how they are going to "find you" as "we have our ways"...

There is simply too many fuctards in game, that is all...

or so the ppl on the forums cant rebuke the argument and take in into game, punishing the character/corp/alliance for what he said out of game

Most alliances have some standards. In order to uphold them, most discourage their members posting in this cesspit on their mains. It's kind of like local smack.

I've seen plenty of people getting kicked and kicked some myself for shitposting on their mains because it reflects badly on the entire alliance.
