I don't think any goon has called that label Libel. We've mostly be fapping on the fact that's its an incorrect label. DrunkenAsshole is far more accurate in Mitten's case. Many of the "gaming media" have written retractions to that effect even, including the blog post that is often cited as having started all those shenanigans.

I don't think you are in any position to know precisely what your goonish brethen have said really. A horde is as a horde does - I find it rather ridiculous for anyone except the alpha dog in your community to say whats what really - the rest are just followers repeating the party line.

And as for the media writing retractions - I think Massively were very cowardly in stepping back from the "cyber bully" headline and they looked like a news site who had been legally-threatened by goons that week. That said the editor tried to win back some independent credibility by refusing absolutely to apologize to goons and going so far as to label the harrassment and spam mails as "cyber bullying" itself.

But its typically really to accuse a news site of having reported "shenanigans" as being responsible for all this. I really don't buy the "he was drunk" excuse - its clear that he planned the presentation months in advance and did precisely what he intended. That being said labelling an incident of public cyber-bullying as cyber-bullying is simply accurate reporting.

Well CSM 1 being bad is a common myth told by the Goon leadership to its pawns. When (from the goon's perspective) what was "bad" is you didn't win.

CSM1 was pretty successful for CCP and the game at large. Extremely good press coverage, media relations. It worked well for me in the workplace too ironically - people were pretty impressed at my run as the first ever democratically elected chair of a massively multiplayer online game.

BBC taking democracy to the stars

New York Times on Virtual Democracy

Massively spotlight CSM1

Ten ton hammer on the process

And dozens more like these.

At least two members of CSM1 would go on to work for CCP. One went on to become a leading figure on the followup CSM2. We oversaw the successful implementation of PLEX into Eve online which has helped hundreds of thousands of players from poorer countries in the world to play the game despite the economic problems of their host countries.

It is a matter of public record the various gameplay improvements we advocated for Eve Online and I'm quite proud of the issues I advocated personally (such of which will probably surprise you when you tear your eyes from goonswarm propaganda and go look up the facts as they happened

And when my term was over I gave the final address at fanfest without bringing myself, the csm, or CCP and the wider player base into disrepute. I understand then as I do now that the role of CSM chair is to represent the game as an ambassador to the wider gaming media and show off the things that make Eve great (rather than wallowing in petty cyber bullying and mean spirited drunken nonsense.).

In many ways I think it is the degree to which the facts of CSM1's success are self-evident and undeniable that have made goon high command so rapidly addicted to smear attempts and making up nonsense about it ever since. It really stings that the CSM chaired by Jade Constantine, roleplayer and leader of a small alliance was a roaring success, while the CSM chaired by goonswarm's favourite son was a disappointing fiasco that ended in scandal and universal condemnation by anyone who is not a goon.

All the goonswarm can take away from CSM6 really are humiliating headlines like these.

Cyber bullying for applause

Goonswarm's attempt to cyber-bully massively

Investigation over mocking suicidal player

Harrassment mars Eves fanfest

And so on.

Take off the goonswarm blinkers and breath the fresh clean air outside the SA basement for a moment and see how the rest of the players and gaming media see you.

Haha, so I looked up that wiki you were talking about. No wonder you're so pissed off.

You are roleplaying insects. I've heard you refer to yourselves in many many promotional goonswarm videos as bees and I've seen an attractive youtube presentation with little fabric animated bees dancing round a stargate that was highly rated by your general membership. At fanfest I met several goons who were even roleplaying bees in real life - they had little plush bee children with them and one chap was dressed up in a giant bee costume waving a goonswarm flag (with a giant bee on it). Even while I served on the CSM I often heard your illustrious leader (DARIUS) conversing with his second in command in a buzzing dialect and making rapid little tapping noises in channel pretending his fingers were mandibles. (Darius also looks a little like a Bee).

Further to in-game ideology - you are part of a swarm. You all serve the brain-goons. You present yourselves on this (largely) in character forum as idiot-level intelligence creatures without the ability to speak, argue or debate coherently and I acknowledge that must take quite a lot of dedication to the roleplay ethos of your organization. Look at the pure number of goonswarm threads with absolutely zero content produced in the last 24 hours! It takes champion roleplayers to so perfectly embody the mindset of tiny hive creatures toiling without conscious thought in banal labour of submission to the swarm.

So I salute your characterisation as vile bugs and horrible swarm things! Many in Eve asked for alien subspecies and you have finally provided the dramatic background for this.

Anyway. Lets not further derail this IC thread. If you want to discuss your roleplay with me further I'd suggest the general forum or maybe SHC.

It's also worthy of note that your real name is never mentioned once in the page; despite your picture being there. And that the entire article is 1/4th the size of your posts from earlier, and mostly comprised of that post of yours that I quoted.
It's almost like nobody cares. Drop the persecution complex.

If you don't care then it shouldn't be difficult for you to stop harrassing other players in real life over your serious business spaceship politics.

If you don't care then remove my RL picture from your wiki.

If you don't care then remove the allegations of child-sex abuse.

If you don't care then stop sending letters to the people I work with.

If you don't care then simply walk away and stop trying to drive a player away from the game because you are so completely :butthurt: over never winning internet arguments.

Don't care enough to log back into the wiki. At least not for you, since you seem hell-bent on calling every goon a stalker.

I haven't done either of those things. Neither have any of the other goons you've thrown that at. Stop being deluded.

edit: Because you're striking me as kind of crazy, I just wanted to make sure that you understood that the above line is not me saying those things never happened!

I don't think I've ever told you to quit eve. And at least I'm not so butthurt over the internet that I write mini-essays at people for years about how terrible the big bad goonies are.

As someone who flew Jade when he was still "perma"-banned from the Eve-O forums (oh, happy days) only to later find my way into Goonfleet/waffe, I thought it would be nice to say a couple of true things.

First and most disappointing, La Maison (et etera) was not an e-brothel. It was just a sad little chat room where a bunch of lonely nerds pretended to be all-powerful gods of space. Sexes chats occurred frequently and with vigor. The rest of the time, everyone seemed to be engaged in a no-holds-barred contest to decide once and for all who was the most pretentious ass online.

I once picked up a character from a guy who quit Eve and spent the next six months telling undersexed hausfraus who met Wren in La Maison that, no, sorry, he sold his character and no, I was not aware that your characters were 'involved' and NO, I do not wish to continue the relationship. La Maison wasn't quite as overtly sexual as a brothel, but it sure was weird.

Second, Jade is seriously a crazy person, just not in the, "he put GHB in the orange juice at his local playground" way, though. He's crazy in the "not joking around when he starts talking about his character's in-game ideology". I've known a lot of people who engaged in roleplay in my life; from people sitting around a table roleplaying elves and dwarves (a vice I continue to indulge in to this day) to people pretending to be nonconsenually PVP'd by a burglar that is actually their significant other. I'm sure as hell not one to judge. Still, sane people who roleplay all know that they are not their characters. Their characters are a part of a story and what they do and what happens to them only matter in the context of the story. Jade is one of those poor guys who's spent too long playing the same character (and he passed that point of no return long before I met him) to know the difference between "me" and "my character".

I'm not saying that he thinks he's an immortal starship captain living tens of thousands of years in the future. He's just pathologically incapable of separating his in-and-out-of-game personas. His "in game" ideology? The whole "Freecaptain" thing? That's not just an in-character thing that he does to have fun. He believes that craptle. He doesn't just think people should play the game the way he does. He's obsessed with "regressive memes" and "imperialist enclosurism". He doesn't care if the people in his alliance are having fun and he sure as hell doesn't care if they're competent. Or at least that's how he was a while back. Maybe he has a whole new dogma now. If so, I'm confident that he is just as willing to hold to it no matter what, even if it's no damned fun and makes something like half of the people in his alliance leave (which happened twice in the time I knew him, both times because the way Jade insists everyone in The Star Fraction play Eve is just not fun.)

Anyway, that's the Jade Constantine I know/knew. He's basically just some sad English twit who edits copy who got in on the ground floor with Eve, got himself a taste of relevance and promptly went crackers.

That was the gist of the wall of text your comrade posted. He unironically believes I'm a space anarchist in real life and plots the downfall of western capitalist imperialism apparently. He's welcome to his opinion stated as it is without recourse to posting poison pen letters to my contract placements or hosting RL pictures of me beside criminal allegations and all that.

Also rather amusingly he takes credit for infilitrating roleplayer accounts and acting all surprised about the fact that grownups cybersex each other in eve online. The horror!

Jade you still didnt delivered any real achivement of CSM1 except of fact that it was elected and you were a chair, also your claims about Goonswar(sic!)being cyberbully towards interntet news media (sic!) are so geniuely stupid that i think that even you cant think it seriously.Futhermore your tries to bellitle the achievements of csm7 are not only invalid to those who play this game, but also so blatantly sided against some kind of gameplay (and no its not "evil evil blob")that you only show that its you and not GS who is perfectly willilling to hurt this game to simply bend it towards his wishes. And even you must admit that you represent much thinner minority than GS does and also that its you and not GS who want to make people responsible for their in game actions, and to my further terror you seem to support fact that your in game enemies (or people who you think that they are your enemies while they dont give a flying **** about you, simply because you are so sad example of irrelevant "i have so many sp that i mus be rite" bittervet)are irl stalked (and no,you werent never stalked by GS,and your claims that you were are insulting to all real victims,no matter if they are results of your lost touch with reality or your "master plan to bring down gs",in both cases you showed much worse taste than mittens and contrary to him you are not showing any regrets or willingness to apologize, which makes you only extremely sad example of how low can human being be brought by hypocrisy),so i think that you should feel ashamed of yourself, and on how you betrayed your own ideals, take step away from computer, think about your hypocrisy, think about fact that its only you is okay with ******* with eve and take a "proper german officer approach(with your character of course)" before you will be only sad joke of sad joke you currently are.
