Should Buying/Selling Char Be Seen as a CRIME

So I have been at the buying and selling chars for a while and I meet a lot of criticism at how I make my isk. Should someone who buys low and sell high be frowned upon as someone who say RMT to make isk.

every time I make a post using this toon on buying a char, someone feels the need to warn people like I'm sort of scammer.

Is what I do a form of scamming but legal????

Has you ever went so far as chose to go even use want to look more like do?

No, of course it's not a crime or wrong. It's fully sanctioned by CCP if done per the EULA. It's only a "crime" if you purposefully tried to avert the rules for account transfers or bilk someone out of ISK for the sale or use ISK purchased/sold from an illegal RMT'er to buy and sell characters.

There is nothing wrong with reselling a character at a higher price than you bought it for. The "market" determines whether you sell it or not, and you are not forcing people to buy or sell their or your characters for any specific amount. You either have someone willing to buy or sell to you for the agreed on price or you don't. Simple. I think some people are just getting butthurt by your enterprise because it doesn't necessarily require a lot of in-game time to acquire your ISK by buying and selling toons.

If people think you are scamming (ie, not paying what you promise or lying about what you are selling) while trading in characters they should just petition to CCP, not whine to you on forums.

Sounds like your competition is mad. Also, make a new alt to buy chars with.

Its easy to spoil an honest tradesman business.

When I first decided that I needed an Industrial character, I went onto the forums thinking , ok this shouldn't be to hard.

What I ran into was a few very shady resellers who would do everything in their power to mess up the deals I found, from stalling, name calling, ninja bidding, you name it!.

I was ticked off...

I did get my character, but from an honest resaler who saw exactly what was going on and offered me a very fair deal just so I would go on my merry way and stop being publicly ticked off.

You may be an honest merchant, but your not the only one buying and selling, some of them are not very nice.

... You really need to ask if a fully sanctioned and endorsed activity by CCP is a crime? We have a Character Bazaar for a reason, you know.

i wasn't saying it is a crime, i was asking should it be and why would people treat people who do it as a way to make isk like it is. clearly as I have been at it for months, proves its not a crime
