i dual box 2 accounts while i play and i was wondering if..

I could log into 2 accounts on the same client and play split screen, (like playing a shooter 2 player on the tv).

do enough people dual box to make this worth looking into?

768 seems to be the lowest height to go so if you can get a resolution over 1536 you could run EVE windowed, top and bottom.

Also, I do multi box but usually only for mining. I tried to dual box a Serpentis watch tonight and it was impossible. Even low settengs I was client crashing like mad, couldn't switch out, was losing my Overviews, just plain disaster.

Same this is truely the way to go but does require some space to fit 3 monitors

I also penta box while mining. Only have one monitor though T_T. I dual box incursions at times.

so what im asking for is instead of playing windowed mode. we could do clean and tidy split screen on the same client. is it even possible?

Not in same client, no. You have to have one client open for each account.

No. Windowed mode is the only way to dual+ box

I don't see that flying. Monitors are dirt cheap and the effort required to develop something like that is much better spent on in-game features.

I triple box with 2 screens. My main I run fixed window @ 1920x1040, the two alts run side-by-side windowed on the second monitor @ 1024x1010, there is some overlap of 120px or so, but this isn't really a problem for me as it doesn't cover vital areas on either client

I think they are actually looking in to using one client for multiple account log-ins, as having more takes computer resources, and CCP don't like it when you have to use lower then ultra-awesome settings. If I remember right, they talked about this back in FanFest 2009.

3 years ago ... you can see it is a priority. You sure you're not thinking about the Master Account concept though? (One master account with all your other accounts linked to it, etc.)

It will come when it comes, I don't think it's something that you just write a few lines of codes for and then it's done. It is also dealing with accounts and log-ins, so if it takes a decade, it should be okay ...if you don't want to accidentally 10 characters and screw up the cluster.
I don't know if that can be it, it was three years ago, and it's been a while since I watched those videos.

Kinda my point - there are more important things to work on than having one client run multiple accounts - so - not exactly a priority ... P

just some way of making the 2 account windows perfectly take up half the screen each would do really.
