Yes, as if Europe doesn't already have similar laws in place. It's not enforced that much, but it's there and it's just as ridiculous.

Actually the laws in Europe are enforced and there have been a number of high profile cases recently with people sent to prison for sentences lasting months and even years. A student sent down for two months for a drunken rant on Twitter about a black footballer who had collapsed. One single drunken rant! not persistant abuse, one rant. A rant that looks tame compared to things I have seen in Eve.

We limit our personal liberty for the greater good of society as a whole. We limit our freedom of speech to protect against the kind of facism and hate that tore Europe apart in teh 20th century. We also limit our personal freedom by not allowing ordinary citizens to bear arms, hows that one working out for you America?

I thought Arizona had so many gun-toting citizens that they don't need laws? Everybody just enforces their own rights. Or perceived rights. Or opinions. Something or other.

That type of nonsense makes me so glad I do not live in the United States of America.

Yea because living in the United States of America is "hard". Living here is the great and anyone that says other wise is either too lazy or too stupid to understand how great the US is.

I was borne and raised in Detroit, MI as a fat white kid. Growing up is not hard people, its called life. Ever had a gun put in your face because you have cool looking shoes and someone at school wants them? I might be a bit racist but I am "normal" as an adult if normal is working, having a house, cars and toys for the weekend, friends and family.

How can words hurt you? So what if someone is mean to you or does not like you? Put your head down, do what you go to do and move on with your life. Its not easy but who said it was easy?

Do you think bullying stops when you leave school? Yea right, dickheads are everywhere, end of story. Let's put this silly nonsense to rest and get back to internet spaceships and pew pew.

Life is too short to worry about stupid bully ****, have fun, live it your way and die, that is all that is required. That is what I have learned in 30 years on this planet with you other assholes.

And that's exactly what's wrong with the US: you think it's "normal" to have the threat of a gun shoved in your face on a daily basis.

You're right, the US IS a nice place to live if you have a shallow and materialistic personality. I left the US for this exact reason. Americans equate convenience with quality of life. Americans live in a hypothetical and theoretical world where the reality oftentimes differs greatly from said hypotheses and theories. Sure, we spout these catch-phrases like bleating sheep but in reality they mean nothing to the majority of Americans.

The fact of the matter is that the daily life in the US doesn't stand up to the principles on which it is based. People love to spout about how "free" you are when what they're really talking about is how cheap everything is. Americans like America because they can buy things, not because of it having such a great quality of life over other countries. You love the US because of Wal-Mart and convenience stores and cheap Ford Mustangs, not because it's such a great place to live. You think it's a great place to live BECAUSE of these things. If you had ever lived anywhere else in the world with a high quality of life for the entire population, you would see this.

If you want to be entertained constantly and need to constantly distract yourself from reality, the US is the place to be. If you want to live in reality where you can enjoy life without having to make at least six figures per year, then move to Europe.

I'm American, btw.

First would you care to say where I said it was "normal" have a gun put in your face daily? Oh right I never said that. I ask if growing up if you had to deal with what I had to deal with and even with everything I dealt with growing up did not stop me from being a "Normal" adult with a house, a job, few cars and toys for the weekend, good friends and great family.

Second, you are not an American, you do not live in America, you live in Europe, so you are no longer an American.

Third, I totally disagree with you. I love living in America because we have the ability to buy anything we wish with the only limitation being how much money you have and there is not limit to how much money you can earn. This is not true so much anymore but all it took to live a high quality of life in the US was a good work ethic and common sense.

So having cheap products for your citizens is not a high quality of life? How do you figure?

Lets not even go into how Socialism is working out for you guys in Europe. Socialism and communism are great on paper, not so good in practice. The reality is that living in America you earn your way, hand outs are not the norm like in EU.

I do not make six figures a year and I enjoy my life very much, I would not want to live anywhere else. The state grew up in, I could be at a beach and playing in the water in 20 minutes, how is that not a high quality of life?

Sorry, I love America and being an American. Sure our government is a bunch of corrupt greedy bastards that forgot what American once stood for but this is still the best country in the world to live in. I believe that 100%.

Schalac is a fictional character that does not fall under American law because America doesn't exist in his reality.

I'm not much for nationalism or "America is teh bestest" cheerleading, but this is pretty much spot on. My wife and I make less than six figures and live quite well; we don't want any more. For comparison, our location is an hour from the coast and some (very cold) beaches, and we have some scenic, relaxing bike riding literally ten minutes outside of town.

The U.S. is hardly the homogeneous land of fat fucks shopping at Walmart the rest of the world would like to make us out as.

A professional astro-bastard was not available so they sent me.

Socialism and communism aren't even that good on paper. Try reading Das Kapital.
