ARE BLOODY AWESOME!

Thanks CCP for removing that annoying Pax Ammaria item that was capping nocxium prices at 535 per unit.. Prices now at 800isk per unit and rising.. Invest now people!

Explanation:

Nocxium price are sky rocketing because CCP removed the Pax Amarria item out of the game
Whenever the price got above 535 per unit for nocxium, you could buy that item, and with perfect refining skills u got nocxium from it, so u buy a shite ton of Pax Amarria from an NPC at 530isk per unit. refined it and sold all the nocxium whenever the price got above 535 per unit and since CCP now removed that item... there is no cap on what it can be sold at.

Prices currently rising at 800isk sell orders and 750isk buy orders per unit!

Not if u want to play the market... by the time u mine any significant amount this drastic price change will be long over and will have stablised again.

Wudnt be surprised to see nocxium around 1.3k a unit in the coming days. since in the last 3 hours it went from 535 per unit to 848 per unit.

I'm glad that they fixed the NPC Nocxium price fixing. But I would have preferred they fix that fact that a book refines into Nocxium instead of just removing it.

Hmm… 512 is base price for Nocx, iirc. C/D?

This clearly reinforces CCP's vision of Mining as a profitable and lucrative endeavour.

Suspect this is the short term fix

select typeName, basePrice from invTypes where groupID = 18;
typeName|basePrice
Tritanium|2.0
Pyerite|8.0
Mexallon|32.0
Isogen|128.0
Nocxium|512.0
Zydrine|2048.0
Megacyte|8192.0
Morphite|32768.0
Chalcopyrite|2.0

Not that the base price would mean much.

EDIT: Chalcopyrite <-- pretty!

Base price doesn't mean anything.

You're going to be looking at these very soon:

1.200 1.700 nocx (see post below)
2.800 zydrine
4.000 megacyte
30.000 morphite

I've not looked at the other minerals

This is not actually unreasonable.

Nocxium is sourced from lowsec and 0.0 ores only. The two 0.0 ores - ochre and crokite - are traditionally the least valuable and so are ignored in favor of Arkonor and Bistot, and the lowsec ores are just plain ignored because the risk:reward isn't there. Even at 900/unit nocxium, they're barely worth more than highsec ores, and worth far less than missions or incursions.

If, on the other hand, you kick the price up to 1200/unit, those lowsec ores are up in the 30m/hr range - 30m for hedbergite, 31 for hemorphite, 27 for jaspet. 1500/unit is better still - hedbergite is worth about 35m/hr, hemorphite 38m/hr, and jaspet 33m/hr. Additionally, Crokite exceeds Arkonor and Bistot at this point, meaning it gets mined first in 0.0.

At a whopping 1700/unit, the lowsec nocx ores are equivalent to 0.0 ores - 39m for hedbergite, 42m for hemorphite, 40m for Jaspet.

So, dare I say it - sky's the limit, and Lowsec ho?

They removed Pyroxeres from highsec? What strange days to witness.

Hardly worth the time just for nocx

It would if all shiptypes would be used equal and if CCP would not have introduced capital ships and mods. But even if they would do that, folk would still prefer ABC over Dark Ochre. I'm a seasoned miner you know.
