Damage Taken on Killboards how is it calculated?

I have been looking at some cap ship kills on killboards, specifically supercaps.

For example take the latest Razor loss: Titan Kill

What i am interested to find out is how the damage taken is calculated.

According to that killmail the titan took 6,458,095 damage.

When i setup the ship on EFT (without a slave set, and gang bonuses, which i assume they would have had), the EHP comes to 22,753,000.

Does anyone know how this difference comes about?

What shows on the killboard is what is on the killmail and that data is very incorrect. Often you can see a lot of people doing 0 damage on a KM and sometimes they really did damage but it didnt register on the KM.

also damage taken is without resist. so a ship with 1000 hitpoints and 90% resists may have 10000 ehp, but it still will take only 1000 damage till destroyed.

Thanks for clarifying that, I thought it might be something along those lines.

its got nothing to do with resists, pretty sure KMs ignore evertyhing but the raw EHP unless repped or shield recharge.

So if i have 100 shiled, 100 armor and 100 structure, but i have a DCU and boost 50 shields, i still only get 350 total on the board dispite the res from the dcu.

Well what they do it grab a bunch of squirrels, paint numbers from 1 to 9 on them, and fling them at a wall covered in glue. Whatever sticks is the number they put on the killboard.

I believe 'Badly' sums up the OP's question fairly accurately.
