***PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT***

PIE Inc. has a long and glorious history going back to the dawn of the capsuleer age.

One of the reasons for our success has been our unashamedly elitist attitude towards recruitment. Unlike many corporations we don't just accept anyone, we only take take recruits who are graduates of the finest capsuleer schools in the cluster - Amarrian schools.

We are and always have been an Amarrian-only corporation, and we will continue to be so.

However, that does not mean that we only fly with our fellow Amarrians. We have often flown and fought alongside foreigners in the 24th Imperial Crusade, the CVA and many other groups.

Indeed, many years ago we had relationships with corporations such as Blacksheep Squadron and Amarr Auxilia whereby they were essentially operating as closely allied forces. These relationships eventually failed for a variety of reasons but the principle of PIE utilising foreign pilots to achieve its goals is not a new one.

With this in mind we have created a new corporation, Praetorian Auxiliary Force (PAUX) which is now a member of the Praetoria Imperialis Excubitoris alliance.

PAUX will be led by an Amarrian citizen (initially my old friend Kang Kodos) but apart from that it's membership will be exclusively foreign. It will only fly Amarrian-designed vessels. Recruitment and policy decisions will be carried out by PIE Inc.

Joining this new corp will not be easy. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a blemish-free history of support for the Empire and must not have just stepped into a pod for the first-time. We want battle-hardened veterans who are willing to fight and die for the Empire. Life as an auxiliary will be tough, but it will have an invaluable reward - a chance to atone for the sins of the past.

For more information please contact either myself or Kang Kodos or join the in-pod channel PIE PUBLIC.

Amarr Victor.

To announce this on the day of the removal of the Pax Amarria from capsuleer stores seems highly symbolic.

Has PIE given up hope for a peaceful resolution of the current conflict?

It was not us that chose the path of war, but the Shakorites.

The brutal expantionist mindset that began the Amarr Empire, and continues to this day, somewhat contradicts what you said there.

I'm suprised you didn't name this auxiliary for PAX, admiral Blake. Could hardly be more fitting on this day.

Too little too late, I fear. A hundred other organizations have been providing what PIE refused to for many years now.

I want to see the old prestige of PIE survive more than almost anyone. This seems to be a last-ditch attempt to save the Praetoriate, in the same direction that so many who have served it have been clamoring for for so long...a door that was slammed many, many times. Suddenly it is opened, but I wonder who is left to consider it?

PIE's membership itself has split into multiple fragment corporations multiple times in only the last couple of years over this very issue. Only now that the might of the Praetorians can be called into fleets of only single-digit numbers is a solution offered...

What makes your new venture stand out from the many that have come after, and what will keep you from repeating the same disastrous mistakes you made with AMAX over 6 years ago?

The fate of the oldest and most respected loyalist capsuleer paramilitary hinges on you having good answers to such queries.

As I'm sure you remember there were issues with a section of the AMAX leadership and their loyalty.

The PIE leadership will select the PAUX Commandant and will maintain control of PAUX shares. This will minimise the possibility of the corp turning rogue.

At the rate the current crop of PIE members are jumping ship this is unsurprising news.

The need to 'replenish the ranks' has lead to a lowering of already abysmal standards. Best of luck wallowing in the mud with your new pets though!

I am curious.

Just whom, exactly, do you think will be able to fulfill such exacting standards of recruitment? I can't imagine many foreigners having a 'blemish-free history of support for the Empire'. As a matter of fact, I can think of a number of Amarr capsuleers who have critcised the Empire from time to time.

And what is meant by foreigner? Ammatar? Khanid? Or do you mean actual foreigners. It would be very unlikely, I would think, that many Gallente citizens would sign their lives away for Empress and Empire any time soon.

I'd be interested to see how many applications come your way in this bold venture and mildly surprised if that number exceeded zero.

It still means two leader. That will not end well. However, when you need mediator with your revolting pet, Lord Vaari will gladly offer his wisdom and guidance to resolve the situation.

Detailed information about foreign participation in capsuleer operations in Bleak Lands theater is public as are PIE recruitment standards and definitions of who they consider to be a foreigner. If you have some basic degree of competence you can take a minute to learn something, if not, you go post on space forums.

I have no insight as to the wisdom of the corporate structure, but I do find myself increasingly unable to resist the anything but subtle charms of His Indisputable Suzerain of Southern Sarum, Princling of Providence, Crown's Vicar, Baron of Bravado, Marquis of That Which Is Said, and Pharmacist to the Stars - Lord Sir Master Holder Vaari (did I miss anything?).
