At the Madirmilire side of the Niarja stargate, there is an Earth-like planet with a hurricane in the SE hemisphere going strong.

At Kor-Azo Prime V - Moon 1 - Ishukone Corporation there is a sharp right turn out of the space station dock. It looks hard to navigate and much like those seen on Star Wars' Death Star.

Do you want to bet on the time when spectroscopic analysis of distant planets identifies an oxygen rich atmosphere, i.e. "proof" of life ? I'm guessing 15 years from now.

Actually I read an articles last week about some new big telescope array and satellite that they expect will be able to far better detect alien signals and, for the satellite, detect what you said. Supposed to be running by the late 2000-teens.

Anyway, I think you are right but within 10. Between the above and better exploration of Mars, I expect it.

oxygen supports us, but there are many lifeforms (even on earth) that don't need it. The only thing it seems that's required is a solvent for organic molecules to move around in (and eventually clump together into something that works)
Liquid water does this, but it might be possible with other liquids..
Either way it's all speculation til we can go there and take a look :P (I want to see if anything is on Enceladus!)
