I believe that nowdays this should work also in internet exploder with IE7Pro installed.
Let me know about the results if you're able and willing to test.

There is Greasemonkey for Safari as well, it's just called Greaskit.

sure would be nice if they'd finally fix this .. I am getting tired of this not working in IE8.

Should work... just install iepro7 - it supports ie6 and above and gives you ability to run user scripts even on your IE8.
