Mittens has worked hard to get, and deserves all the ridicule and stick he gets ingame.

The key word is 'ingame'.

Any sort of threat to him in real life should be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Thats because nothing is to be gained in game by pretending moral outrage at this. If defending the victim here would bring about what these people want in game, then you can be sure they would be screaming.

The vast majority of humans do not feel real compassion, what they do is appear compassionate so that they portray the image they want people to see and/or to get a specific result. Public displays of compassion are almost always manufactured, the people who feel real compassion usually act out of the public eye. This is why you get the 'white knight' effect, these people are simply out for whatever agenda they can further with their moral outrage and compassion.

Your morality only has one real measure, and that is how you act when you believe you are not being observed. Ever done something bad when you thought no one was looking?

Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

Did you confirm that the alleged suicidal player was in fact suicidal? Have you confirmed that the person who sent the mail is the same person still logging in NOW?
I doubt it would be hard for people to figure out where Mittani lives given that A- They know his real name and B- The general Area where he lives. Its made simpler by the fact that he has an unusual last name.
But still due diligence? Who here did due diligence before setting out on a crusade against the Mittani? Not a single one of you. No One.
I mean if we want to go down this road, then sure lets speculate who had the most to gain by getting Mittani off the CSM? Maybe it would be the CSM member who's practically gloating that he's gone? Hmmmm

Confirming Darius III slipped alcohol into the CSM's drinks so that Mittani would disgrace himself and to acquire sexually compromising photos of Michael Bolton's unconcious body for future blackmailing.

It just seems that EVERYONE or most folks have thrown their ETHICAL behavior out the window. yeah i am enjoying te GOON tears but there is a very fine line that has been crossed. folks feeding the goons...goons feedings everyone so there can be a huge DRAMA LAMA floating in space in Jita.

Granted Mit has brought alot on himself from his actions from the FANFEST but threatening sexual assault on another is just wrong so many laws broken over the thing he said to get himself temp banned and off the CSM and with the threat on his wife i would not be suprised if he leaves the game now. yeah i know many like the idea but hell he is fun to have around to poke at every now an then

Things are spinning way out of control all of folks are acting like junior school drama QUEENS. i thought there was a minimum age requirement but many of you are acting more like your shoe size then your age. Just get back to trying to enjoy the game and watch GOON implode on itself.

For any who keep in contact with Mittans pleaase pass on that there are some who do not wish ill harm come to him or his family. take the time to sit back and re examine things

At least keep the threats directed toward him, not non-eve playing women and/or dogs that happen to live with him. What, he's not good enough to ****? A baby-faced metrosexual like him could well be a better bet than his unknown, unseen wife. He's in his 30s, but if you shave off the stupid little beard and he could pass for 17. I hear he does yoga too, so he's probably pretty limber for a man his age. Supple.

If it's true, it doesn't surprise me. Why? Because in all my years of being online I've seen idiotic statements made all over in every multi-user platform. Hell, I'll admit I've sent a death threat when I was a teenager to someone that really rubbed me the wrong way, but now that I'm adult I realize such things are unnecessary and generally a sign of some mental instability at worse or immaturity at best.

It just seems the lesson Mittani taught us all by his own screwup and apology hasn't sunk in the heads of others. I can't say why other than people's hatred for goons, which doesn't surprise me that emotion is overriding people's better natures. And honestly, I'm no fan of goons either, but when taking an accounting of one action of one man (Mittani) the group he represents can be disregarded since it does not reflect on the man's character or motivations (guilt by association has no place in a civil society). Simply put, acting more douchey than Mittani did won't make your actions right. In fact, it just makes you a joke in my book.
