Hi,

So I copied a pretty pricey Sleip setup which supposedly runs this 10/10 and created a poorer mans version of it. It eft tanks 717 vs sansha, and something like 648 omni cap stable. EM resist is 84%. DPS 720 with drones I believe, not at home to check atm.

Can I tank the whole plex including the station em torps?

Also, from memory if I drop the 2 invuls for EM hardeners I get 92.5% EM but sansha tank drops to 550~ with thermic resist at 55%~. Is this a better choice to accept more rat damage and tank the torps better?

Thanks.

to my knowledge a decent tanked duel rep armor vagabond can tank that whole plex.. shti gets a lil ruff in the last room but it can fit a duel rep fit with like 95 percent resists and cap stable so run the whole thing then warp in something with reps for the last room and you should be good.. Also a even decent skilled nighthawk can tank it no issues..

Solo in tengu...orbit station at 51k kill everything then station.

You get added dps approaching station at max speed (frequency of missile spew)

I have done this on several occasions.

Yeah I'm sure the tengu can run it but the char in question can't fly that since its the only cruiser 5 he hasn't done..

So it's something from the other three races, and I had a Sleip kicking around doing nothing so..

In any case, for the EM torps, is 85% resist enough or am I gonna have to refit for 92%.

i've always read/ been told that 90% is the minimum you want for that EM torp.

But I've never had the balls to try that last room solo in my Sleip soWhat?

It also depends on your sig radius, as that affects how much torps will hit you for.

I believe the same applies to the citadel torp as well...

What are your experiences with the Sleip for ratting there? Runs everything but the 10/10 easily enough? Mind sharing your fit?

Thanks :)

The resist percent itself is largely irrelevant — what matters is how much buffer it gives you, and whether or not your reppers will be able to restore that buffer between hits. Just saying "you need X% resists" doesn't even tell half the story.

According to the database, Ultima delivers a whopping 200k EM damage per missile, and fires once ever 120 seconds. With 90% EM resist, this means you need to have a shield/armour buffer (depending on how you roll) of 20k+ HP, and you need to be able to restore those HP at a rate of no less than 167 HP/s. If your resist is lower than that, you need proportionally higher buffer and repping rate (at 85%, it's 30k buffer and 250 HP/s). That's for the missile alone, and you might still have other stuff left shooting at you at that point…

Speed will help you if you can stay out of webbing range (50km), as will sig radius — a combination of both is obviously preferred.

Thanks very much for the informative response (and equally from the others). I'll go and do some sums based on that when I get back home to see if I can get that out of it.

It's a 10mn an fit so assuming I can get some speed before getting webbed to get out of range it should work. What sort of sig radius would be "acceptable"?
