Look Goon your dear moron of a leader made a Huge mistake and they cut him to the quick like they should have point blank he try getting people to do something to have a RL affect.

To hell with your csm chair he lost it do to his owe doing.

As for my now thoughts hes ass should have been permaban i know alot of people the feel the same what he did there was no call for in game or RL if he had done that in the states he would have in handculfs or damn close to it.

If that player woul have been my son and someone said something like that trust me i would not be able to post here on the forums for the fact i would be locked up right now for putting to rest a mouth like that.

He should in fact be thankfull he was not permaban and you goons should look at it like that. So you lost your csm chair oh no tough tit deal with it. Goons as a whole i could really careless about all of you but your dear leader if i ever get the shot at his pod i will take it. given what he said and ask other to do make him the real world a low life no better then the stuff on the bottom of my shoe.

God, is this still a thing? Jesus, that was like 3 months ago? Mittani is still here, and he still has amazing charismatic sway over Goonswarm, and you are still a pubbie whinging over dread pirates wrecking your game. You're just mad because GSF wins at EVE, and you are still in the little league.

"God, is this still a thing? Jesus, that was like 3 months ago? Mittani is still here, and he still has amazing charismatic sway over Goonswarm, and you are still a pubbie whinging over dread pirates wrecking your game."

The following is a line from Wiki definition of cyberbullying:

"Cyberbullying can be as simple as continuing to send e-mail to someone who has said they want no further contact with the sender, but it may also include threats, sexual remarks, pejorative labels (i.e., hate speech), ganging up on victims by making them the subject of ridicule in forums, and posting false statements as fact aimed at humiliation."

Your answer had to include ridiculing. Cyberbullying has been used in more than half the responses in this forum. We are doing it in here and we are cyberbullying to talk about cyberbullying.

Personal ridicule did not stop 3 months ago. Cyberbullies can't even have a discussion about ridicule.

CCP allows personal ridicule. It's actually illegal in some places in the world. Maybe we need to really understand why lawmakers are getting involved in this. Why is cyberbullying, personal ridicule, so offensive as to become criminal at some point?

Personal ridicule has become the reason to play EVE for a bunch of players. Players who are repulsed by that form of play either have to put up with it or leave the game. Personal humiliation is a parasite on the game, not game mechanics.

The real irony here is that goons have joined the attacks to avoid becoming a victim of this crap themselves. I guess if you show your buddies you are willing to ridicule others, they won't ridicule you? Very junior high school.

Adults tend to stop bullying on the playground and in traditional games. That is not the case in EvE. But it doesn't make it right or fun for the victims. Not sure this is something you just "man up" to and accept. *sigh*.

Since we can't even talk about tihs, maybe we should just seal off high sec for players who just want to settle and build the universe, protect their accomplishments and not cry about anything

I'd like to talk about all this controversy lately regarding the Internet Goons. I hear that some things were said. Let's begin the healing process by laying out our emotions on the table, so we can maybe sort through how we feel and maybe make some sense of how our relationship has become so rocky.

I'll start by posting. I'd like to share that maybe I feel a little violated, and a little hurt. Some confusion too. We (Goons) have always put a lot of stock in our representation on the CSM, and now that our great hope has been extinguished we feel a little... rudderless... if you will. Who will we look to? We have hard times ahead, and I'm fearful that without our Dear Leader's CSM representation his potency will suffer, his vision remain fallow and stunted. I've looked to my friends and family for support, but sometimes what we really need is to network with others in the same situation.

So my fellow pods, I've noticed a dearth of suitable threads for discussing this issue. What's your opinion?

Your post is very hard to read. Also, obviously we should criminalize all forms on non-consentual pvp because it could hurt people's feelings. Also it should be a bannable offense for me to tell you that I think your argument is the dumbest argument I've heard outside of a NickyYo post.

English not your main language? Cause I can read it easy enough...

I think the poster is more talking along the lines of peoples interactions in the game. Whether suicide ganking or doing anything in eve, there are exorbitant amounts of people in the game and on the forums that are complete jerks.

Man I should not have read this entire post. That was a huge whine fest. My understanding is a guy who plays made a bad decision. It was compounded by being broadcast across the world as well. He admitted he messed up, he took responsibility as well. In addition he took his punishment without trying to whine about it. That is what counts to me.I'm not in Goonswarm but at least their leader stood up and took full responsibility and the penalties with it. He has served his sentence and moved on.

In regards to RL/IG paradigm a lot of us play this game as a way to relax or escape the day jobs we have. Many people who play may not be balanced or have some issues as well. That is on them and the people in their real life that care about them. In the end this is a game, that gives all of us an unprecedented amount of freedom to forge the universe to our will. That also means sometimes we all get a little to serious or attached to things that happen in the game and that can bleed out into life.

Instead of kicking on a person, back when his punishment was in effect before he finished it, why don't you take the time to say that was messed up but I can at least respect you for owning the mistake and accepting the consequences. For the guy who was thinking about suicide over everything, did any of you know him? Did any of you offer to help him? Email him get his name? Thought so. If you did by chance thank you for reaching out to help another person instead of taking the time to kick another for a mistake. The next time you all want to hop on the lynch wagon and go crusading take the time to do something stupid your not proud of at all, then post the link of the video for it in this forum and show all of us. I would actually like to see the kind of character you have after the ridicule. So to close this post up, mistakes were made, prices were paid, and in the end all that is left is a forum post grieving a player that served his punishment out several months ago that people won't let go. Bravo.

You cant trivialise it, sadly in your leaders case it is a pattern of behaviour, the desire to inflict pain and suffering on people for self aggrandisement or gratuitous reasons wether in game or real life is both a sign of weakness and a sickness that either needs to be dealt with or treated effectively.

I read the OP. The message I got from it was "Hey, I like attention and am willing to say or do anything to get it, regardless if it's good or bad."

Dearest Cyprus Black (a proud name indeed I've always carried short shrift for the muggle-born myself) you have read me like a book. I had no understanding of how important it was to win your good favour, but instead posted this thread thinking that it would win feedback and both positive and negative would be fine.

It was wrong of me. Upon further reflection your opinion is deeply valuable.

Please don't attack my thread, I've carefully grown it from a tiny squalling babby thread over these last few months of trials and tribulation into the bandy-legged and barechested young manchilde of a thread it is today. It has its rough edges, no manners to speak of, but perches above you in the trees eating apples and throwing the cores at you, braying its laughter as you attempt to snare it for the zoo. Its tannins are strong and unsubtle, but the sugars make a strong showing and there is a whimsical ~something~ (those tildes are for Dear Leader) that makes it all worthwhile.

Its discourse is sometimes tiresome, its Jade-esque monologues painful and soul-crushing, but I like to think it has had its moments too of light frivolity. And life. This thread is full of life my friend. Do you remember that time Coda Grimoire couldn't admit to being an alt of Jade Constantine? Remember Joepopo's double, nay Triple-Post! Frying Doom showed up to pay his respects to Dear Leader. Darius III showed up to remind us that The Mittani had gotten so many more votes than any other candidate, ever. Ever. Posts talking about that war we would lose (and did!). Zelda Wei showed up to this thread as she did to several others desperately hoping we'd ask about "the Pimp's Gambit" she kept bleating about. Even Xenuria showed up to hang out and claim the Goon Throne.

I have spread this thread under your feet. Post softly, for you tread on my posts.

No really if I could abort this thread in the past knowing what it would have become I would do so happily frankly I (and many supporters who have e-mailed me that they are mad at CCP and will quit too when I do) may just unsub out of frustration at CCP for letting a thread this horrible go on

So many goons have mined the internet for so many years for the perfect post and I instead have created this horrible squalling pus-squirting 7 eyed 4 webbed toes having thing I am so ashamed
