Pretty much this. If they really planned to cripple New Eden, it would be a coordinated attack on all 4 major trade hubs at the same time.

Also, I highly doubt anything will happen on that date. Why give advance warning to everyone?

...because they know most won't heed it, but it allows CCP to prepare the node for the unusually heavy load. They want to shoot people and take stuff. Doesn't get much done if they can't actually find anyone.

If it goes ahead there will be no bystanders, only targets. Cloaky ninjas should make an isk or 2 though Twisted

Adolph had his Reichstaag fire. Mitt has to have his replica. Jita burning...think about how thickheaded an idea it is. They can't actually destroy the stations, of course. So...they what....ensconce themselves, set up various sniping bookmarks, command their ranks (I'd assume all their alliance buds are obliged to show for this) to suddenly appear, snipe something then get Concorded...

Maybe the idea is to fill the system with wrecks to crash the node?
Hurl themselves against freighters and n00b frigates in a valiant show of heroism?

Some figure - how many ships they have available to sacrifice on their altar of chest beating (6,000 or so) has been "reported." Of course, a Goon reported it so...you can really take THAT to the bank. They plan to give up all those ships, and half the fittings? (No T2 I'm sure...no one's THAT heroic.)

So...adequate response? When the last Goon ship turns to wreckage, I'll be out there with a Noctis. Maybe this isn't such a bad idea after all.

Nobodies tried it before because it's probably very resource and time hungry organising what is to all intents and purposes a full scale military invasion in a system with what amounts to an invincible security force. It'll be costly in ships for the invaders and leaves them with a possible weakness in null. Also ego, Goons haz a collective one, and rightly so, they play hard and imho utilise the sandbox to the max. You've got to admire the balls on them for even thinking about it.

The funny thing is the Mittani was talking to us on comms today as we blew up Raiden. structures.

Yes, I'm sure he was going to burn Jita to blame it on polticial dissidents. Wait, that makes no sense.

But please, do take your noctis, the newbies would live to be able to gank things. And man, those newbies really love their salvaging. Thrashers can fit 7 guns and a salvager ! Plus they're close to Jita to sell things!

I don't know how many, the Mittani said 1800 as everyone knows, but the pubbies have started preparing to sell us tons of tornados to make money, so maybe we can actually reach 6000. Seems like a hard goal. Perhaps you can help us reach 6000 tornados?
