Still untrue. No matter where you are in the solar system, someone could bump you.

I don't CARE if your in a safe spot that isn't even directly between two celestials, you're in the same space someone else can get to. Sure, it's trivial, but there is still a difference between 100% and 99.999%.

Now before you go off and say I'm nitpicking or that that is a completely ******** argument, keep in mind it is only for the sake of argument. It's not whether or not someone is completely safe, but exactly how safe is too safe.

ok, perhaps I should have amended that . . . when you cloak and arent an idiot youre 100% safe . . .

Absolutes are a bit of a pet peeve of mine, so I tend to correct people who falsely advertise something as absolute. There are only two states in this game that allow for absolute security within the confines of the game mechanics. Those are:

  1. Being docked
  2. Being logged off

You can stay safe even without cloaking if you are not a complete tool or otherwise ignorant of your surroundings and you can also get your stuff blown up when you move around even if you cloak... so really the point is kinda moot Blink

Sure it's not vise to go AFK without a cloak, but then thats what the damn thing is for... staying hidden.

Also OP should read 'Commonly Proposed Ideas' -post found close to the top of this forum section.

"The French mathematician Emile Borel (1962, 28; see also Knobloch 1987,228) proposed 1 in 10^50 as a universal probability bound below which chance could definitively be precluded (ie, any specified event as improbable as this could never be attributed to chance)." (William A. Dembski & Michael Ruse - Debating Design: From Darwin To DNA, Volume 10 - Cambridge University Press, 2004 - Page 318).

"Anything with the odds of 1 to 10^50 or more is statistically impossible. It has a probability of zero." (Briski, D, 2004. Impressive Deception - Creation Or Evolution - You Decide. Shippensburg, (PA): Ragged Edge Press, P. 68 - cited in: Albert Debenedictis - Evolution Or Creation? - Xlibris Corporation, 2011 - Page 103).

"Mathematicians generally agree that, statistically, any odds beyond 1 in 10 to the 50th (1:10^50) have a zero probability of ever happening (and even that gives it the benefit of the doubt)." (Albert Debenedictis - Evolution Or Creation? - Xlibris Corporation, 2011 - Page 104).

the odds of someone running into a ship in space and decloaking you are far far less than that if your ship is not moronically placed.
