I am assuming a guardian is better than an oneiros for incursions? Also, would I have better luck getting into a fleet in an armor logi (either) or a scimitar for a shield fleet? Seems everyone is doing shields.

havnt had problems getting into armor fleets.

but I am not an half assed armor logi either with logistics 5 and fitting my ship how it should be fit.

But I have indeed also seen a lot of shield fleets. training for shield logi (scimi) at the moment so I can do both.

I also think why most people do shields is that all the eve carebears were in drakes, ravens etc and had no armor skills.

Thanks, I am in the process of training logi 5, already have energy transfer 5 and remote rep 5 as well as 5 for both cap skills.

Do you fly guardians?

Yes,

I started with oneiros as I am gallente pilot. But I find it a **** ship compared to the guardian. so i trained up amarr cruiser just for that.

Becouse scimi is the shield version of the guardian and the caldari is the shield version of the oneiros I am now also training scimi. need minmatar cruiser 5 and the shield transfer skill 5 then I am basicly ready.

You need to double check that friend. The scimi has a bonus to tracking links and the basi has the energy transfers.

you dont want to know how stupid I feel now.

Will still go scimi considering I am interested in cross-training minmatar and totaly not interested in pooping missiles :D.

Guardians & Onies each have thier own strong points & I would not say 1 is any better then the other. Their are specific situations were each one has an advantage over the other.

If you fit an oneiros to be capstable with four large reppers and at least two tracking links, you'll find fleets waiting for you. Not to say other ships aren't suitable with I've never seen such an oneiros turned down.

There's a dude running around with an Oneiros that can run 4 T2 Large Reps and 4 bonused Faction Tracking links completely stable, as well as enough tank to run VGs, so yeah, Oneiros can get pretty crazy if you throw isk at it.

Edit//
If you put all the tracking links on a pimped incursion Vindicator you can shoot to almost 60km with null Shocked
