[Video] - Solo PVP

* Note: The MKV has a slight out of sync audio. Still watchable but some of the explosions and such don't happen exactly on certain parts of the music.

Ships Flown: Drake, Armageddon, Tornado, Talos, Hurricane
Length: 20:50

After years of large scale 0.0 warfare I decided to finally take a stab at solo PVP. Over the years I have watched the videos from all the greats, Kil2, Prom, Willl Adama, ect, and been amazed at what they can accomplish alone. I finally said "Screw it I'm going to go loose a lot of ships and have fun doing it." and started on this solo PVP adventure.

This is my first try at a real video so I wasn't going to post it but I have had many people suggest that I make an EVE-O post about it so peer pressure FTW. IMO the action leaves a lot to be desired but the more experience I get the better this will get (I hope). Before I made this I was using the FRAPS footage to learn what had gone right and wrong and a friend suggested I make a video with it. You never stop learning in EVE and I can say that since I have embarked on this solo PVP adventure I have had some of the most fun I have had in years.

A quick shout out to all my old friends from Darkwave Technologies ... you know who you are.

Already given you my thoughts so I'll make this brief.

Pretty much a great first video that kept me entertained the whole way through and inspired me to want to fly a nado. Even though you can be a bit of a bad with your disruptor and ecm drones (seriously, don't use those).

Keep soloing, I eagerly await your next one!

Your horrible reaction time prevented me from liking a vid that wouldve been good otherwise.

And shooting a proteus with phased plasma, reallly?

edit: in the proteus clip, your opponents were complete retards with bad fittings (proteus not scramming a 24km,LOL) hence making the fight worthless

Yep, your right I take full responsibility for failing ALOT in the video (and more that I didnt put into the video) which is why I am frapsing what I'm doing because in the moment it seems to happen faster than my 41 year old ass can keep up with. But over time its getting easier :)

No worries man I expected far harsher comments from my video because I know I fail a lot. Its hard to unlearn a lot of the stuff you get into the habit of doing in large fleets like not having to think for yourself.

I'll upload it to evefiles later tonight, its aprox 650mb. I tried to make it mkv several times but no matter what software I used it threw the audio out of sync.

I haven't watch the vid (yet), but have you tried using handbrake for compression?

I've had 99 problems with my videos, but audio desync ain't one. :P

I use Vegas 7 for editing, handbrake for compression to mkv.

That's one I didn't try. I'll give it a shot, I have to install Vegas again cause I updated to win 7 and lost all my old programs.

Btw @ Ed Hardi, I'm uploading to EveFiles now, it'll take a few hrs.

MKV added to EveFiles ... see the OP. I was uploading the WMV version, 669 mb, but at 98% I lost power and the 3 hrs of uploading was lost. The MKV is still watchable but some parts the explosions don't match up with the music..

Pretty awesome bro, nice work. Looking forward to more :) only thing i noticed was your target calling could have been a tad better in my opinion but the heat of the fight n all that jazz i know it gets hard Twisted
