From this link skip to 5.50. He talks about burn jita. It will happen 28th april and he said they will need 1800 tornados. that means it will take 14400 guns the biggest artillery and 7200 gyrostabilzers. if there rigged 5400 damage rigs. Dont know about mid slots theres 5 so maybe 1800 disrupter and 7200 senor boosters. Thats what they think they need and if it goes on longer they will need more. That just goons if other people join in like test it will be more. Can the market support that or will prices spike little/lot? How many ganks till the price goes up?

They want to kill all freighter so will they go down cuz no one will use them and sell them off? Maybe people will get ganked and have to rebuy and put the price up more. Other effects will t1 indy and transport ship be left alone so become more popular? more demand in ship and fit maybe.

overall market effect will the prices go high less stock coming in or fall cuz no one buys there cuz cant move the item out? Will other market hubs see more demand?

Chances are Goons already have the 1800 tornados fit and ready to roll.

I would expect there to be some uptick since it sounds like they are ramping up now, after listening to the goon leader's audio post.

My question is do they plan a one day siege of Jita, or something longer term?
I doubt 1800 ships will last more than a day or so if they are intent on savaging every freighter.

Then again, the threat alone may be enough to reduce heavy traffic to a trickle starting on the 28th, which dramatically lowers their attrition rate.

I hate these guys, but I recognize their power. But can even a 8000 strong alliance guys project power into Jita plus defend their own null sec turf for more than a few days? If they get Test, another 6000 strong to help, maybe.
But It will be an interesting to see if it is possible.

We're not looking at goons alone here, but the entire CFC. That's 22.000 accounts plus.
The plan according to the speech was to burn down Raiden and NC. first. Also, their homeland is but a clonejump away in case anything happens. Even if something happened, it would be easily fixable.

Every 0.0 player has at least one clone in high sec. I would take this serious. Another question is, will this have an impact at all? Even when there are many pilots not aware of their environment, most of the pilots will avoid Jita for a day or 2.

Do you think this will last 1-2 days?
Do you think most high-sec people will understand this?

We have many new players. We also have many many old players. The newbies can fly thrashers.

Assuming Sony doesn't cry to CCP to intervene because of potentially bad PR from the inevitable whining, sure.

If the casual buyers are smart, they already moved to another hub long ago. If not, they'll learn awful fast.

My personal hope is that Jita just becomes another hub - all four becoming more equal to each other (yes, I'm implying that Dodixie finally gets first-class status).

@ corestwo - valid point. My previous experience with SL makes me think (if Sony was behind some of this) that you're in for an interesting time. GL with your guys efforts, I had enough of that back with y'all in SL so I'll just sit back and grab some popcorn this time.
