CCP pushed it too far? You realize that CCP doesn't "have to" have a CSM, right? In fact CCP is pretty much the only company I have ever heard of that will take money out of its coffers to pay to send a bunch of players on a plane trip somewhere. If CCP was my company I would be taking a long, hard look at the very idea of a CSM because it has now been proven to be a potential source of serious liability for the company. Now Hilmar will take the decision of shelving the CSM idea altogether, shelving fanfest, etc. Hopefully he will keep things as they are, but I bet you right now the idea of cancelling the whole thing is on the discussion table in the boardroom.

All thanks to one irresponsible candidate who is hiding behind the weak excuse of "too much liquor".

Yeah but it's CCP's fault for trying to accomodate players and give them a voice. Look what they did with that voice.

What 10 058 votes?
You mean 8,447 30day alts/accounts made only for voting, and the 1611 legitimate players votes?

truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

This 10,000 number that keeps being thrown around is silly. Pretty much everybody in this game has at least 2 accounts, especially people who play the nullsec game, so we can cut that number in half right away. But we can also go further in saying that a large number of people who voted for Mittani have several accounts, not just two. Some have 10 and many Goons will have PLEXd a new account just to make a vote, so you can probably cut the number in half again. I'd bet money on the number of individuals who voted being under 2,500, maybe way under. So stop with the "10,000 opinions have been silenced". More like 2,500 give or take, trolls all of them who publicly admit they want to ruin YOUR game. With that, I say this decision is good and right for the majority of EVE players, and the majority always comes before the minority.

No mercy for Pooswarm!

I myself am thinking of Jokeswarm or maybe failswarm. Not sure which is better because at least we have got a lot of people to laugh at now, for still being in that alliance.

But this way you keep the two little a-holes in the name... so fitting to that corp!

Say NO to CCP-EA.

http://pastebin.com/B7HCtBUE Mittani isn't sorry. He's just sorry that he got caught.

100 or 10000 or even 1 m votes does not give a free pass to anyone to break the law.

This is my signature. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.  Without me, my signature is useless. Without my signature, I am useless

The swarm has found itself flaccid just before the critical time of entry. To be fair, it's not a systemic problem - they're pretty healthy overall, but an issue with the point man as it were.

He did the crime, he's going to do the time.

We might even get a little bit of high sec drama out of it, if nothing else they're going to need to do something to prove their 'rigidity' once again.

As for the rest of the CSM, they'll either man up and appoint a new chair, or clump together like a bunch of betas only to become further marginalized.

Oh, and those votes that were cast were valid... A reelection would only set a precedent for a "do over" and be beholden to some agenda.

Just because the person you vote for behaves like an idiot and gets removed from his position does not mean you get to vote again. We should start to see more ice fields forming from all these tears.

Already shot this down in another thread but that's 8,447 accounts that voted in the elections entirely, not for The Mittani. Also, that's 8,447 accounts that are older than 30 days, but less than 250 days old. That's a pretty wide bracket.

I agree lets just say 10058 votes were wasted and leave it at that.
