-CCP empowers Mittani(and in turn goons) to celebrity status in the Incarna aftermath(goons +1)

-Mittan makes grand use of his new currency become head of CSM

-Mittani does the ultimate EVE surprise gank on CCP using the meta-stage(goons+2)

-Mittani(goons) almost force CCP to accept it.

-CCP bites the bullet and burns Mittani(CCP +1)

-Mittani orders goons in direct war on EVE

EVE is now a p---ing match between CCP and goons. This is better than MoO was.

As much as I dislike the goons, I do have a high level of respect for Mittens. He and his group of thugs are essential to EVE's social structure, and, with varying success, other underlying structures as well.

Goons are just the new BoB.
That's just the way I see it.

Nothing clever at this time.

I love the fact that the Goons own leader ended up griefing them worse than the sum total of the combined grief that their entire corporation has caused to Eve.

Mitty sure meta-gamed the hell out of them.

Don't violence me bro!

One more time in English, please. Or, are your thoughts too nebulous to express?

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

I like the war on EVE part.
I know from previous attempts I will lose assets but this time I have calculated for it.

Alliance disbanded because the guy with the keys was on holiday.

10k votes wasted because the guy with the mouth was on holiday.

Goonswarm clearly needs to prevent their head honchoes taking holidays.

Yeah, that's why it's near impossible to find threads about ANYTHING ELSE, and will continue to be that way for weeks.

Hell, I joined Eve in the first place to sign on with BOB during the Pendulum wars. I wouldn't be surprised if the Great War drew a lot of new members. It, and other wars like it, always involve Goons, and when you sell Eve to a new player, you don't talk about mining ice.

You talk about murderous pirates, vicious betrayals, brutal wars, and the glory of conquest. CCP certainly caught on to the message; look at the trailers. Its not about amassing fortune any more; its about defending it.

There was a point where three years straight an alliance leader getting married over the Christmas holiday led to disbands/being evicted from space/total collapse.

Bingo.

If we weren't here BoB frankly would have won, 0.0 would have sat stagnant until it collapsed. This game NEEDED The Great War.

You have a point, but Goon certainly arent the same BOB.
But with respect to the game universe their impact is now more similar to BOBs than it is to the goos of days past(a swarm of killer bees with nothing to lose.)

Whiners and people stuck on the old worn tear meme aside.

It's awesome to have this level of drama in eve. It keeps the game alive and breathing where others are stale. It's the sandbox

Very true. The whole situation was bad, but EVE will definitely survive and grow from this. Mittani did the right thing, CCP did the right thing - now let's move on and have some fun!
