All you idoits who keep bringing in a real life impeachment seem to forget that the impeachment process is a democratic process.

The offending party is VOTED out of his position.

There was no vote and there was no impeachment.

In fact with the exception of the **** smoker darius, most of the CSM members were satisfied with him stepping down as chair and continuing to serve on the CSM

I would suspect that if there was a new election today after the events at fanfest. Mittens would still have enough support to hold a seat on the CSM, if not remain chairperson.

This was nothing more than a vocal minority who already had pre-existing reasons to hate Mittens, using the incident as an excuse to raise hell and exploit a few media outlets to further their own agenda.

The only result of the entire debacle is that Jita will burn and eve-online gets an even more bloodthirsty and brutal Goonswarm.

more bullying. TBH, I had to check myself. It seems pretty easy to role play your badass EvE personna into real life. I'm kinda tripping on that. Anyone could have done that, but it was still stupid.

Why would you say...All you idoits (that's idiots, fyi)?

Why do you even think that?

It's like you're in some kind of cult while the rest of us still want to be in a broader EVE culture that includes you and me.

I would like to think I would say, "Oh wow, we pushed everyone over the edge. Let's stfu and take it. You win some you lose some" but I'm seeing all the hatred and personal attacks that are the heart and soul of seriously insecure people.

Who are you calling idiots?

You have no idea how goofy this stuff reads. srsly

The white paper outlines how to deal with this.

There will not and should not be a revote.

After the new CSM is properly seated, the council will vote to elect a new Chairman from within its ranks as well as the other offices.

Several members have been endorsed by none other than The Mittani as good stewards of the CSM that will not "**** over" null.

Just give it a rest and let life go on, will ya? Work on your wars and Jita interdiction preparations or whatever is important to you.

The only end-game content in EVE Online is the crap that makes you rage quit.

granted i am still fairly new to eve so i am not going to try to lie and act like i know whats going on lets just call a duck a duck as for the voiting i never voted. but when it comes to jita it is my main station and granted its going to burn but i would atleast like to know that i am allowed to fight for it i could care less about the situation but jita is a major spot for me and many others and i can not afford to merely pick up all of things and move them

It's a frikkin' advisory council. There are 14-1=13 members left to give advice. Sure, CCP does need a lot of advice, but with those numbers I think the council can still divvy up the work and function.

And they still have mittens' phone number. So if the council decides they absolutely can't function on some issue without Mittani's unique brand of wisdom, they can still consult him and incorporate his advice into their advisory role.

The rules for dropping a member of the CSM were laid down before, have been applied before, and were not thought important enough to merit a change until now.

In a democracy (pretending for a moment that Eve resembles such a thing), you stick to the rules unless there is a democratic choice to change the rules. So you can make it an election issue next time around, or you can call for a referendum on whether the rules should be changed. But you can't make up the rules ad-hoc as you go along.

Goons, get over it.

He brought this on himself. No one but him made him say the things he did.

Regardless of what he did in any prior CSM attempts he failed this time.

As a Testie Pubbie Goon pet pointed out, nearly 20% of the players voted for Kittens, which means the remaining voters didn't.

I would say that the remaining voters are pretty happy with the results so the majority wins.

20% would mean like 70.000 to 80.000 votes

I find your attempt to intimidate players when you do not get what you want amusing. The Mittani blew it. He admitted as much himself. CCP banned him not the CSM. The Goon army needs to get over it and yes, burn Jita. Get on with the game. I am sure that the ice mining population could use a good culling before the spring mating season, but stop this endless hemorrhaging of what was once a grand alliance name to petty whining and public displays of entitlement. It was a great plan, it succeeded, over ten thousand votes and then your guy fumbled on the goal line. Get back up, dust off and get ready for next year.

Nah, you should go skill yourself. ~10,058 players were silenced~ CCP needs to fix it if they care about the relevancy of the CSM.

If CCP cares about the relevancy of the CSM, they should stick to the rules under which they were elected.

Making up a new rule on the spot for this special case is actually the most undemocratic thing you could do.

If you don't like the system, talk to your local CSM representative about having the rules changed. Then the next CSM will be elected under those improved rules.

TEN THOUSAND HAD THEIR SAY. The Mittani the proceeded to be an asshat and HE choose to silence those TEN THOUSAND. Sorry you wasted your vote but I would support a perma ban for Mittens.

i wonder if there is any truth to the saying "i t is not over until the fat lady sings"

i hope there is - if not, i'm amazed as to how easy it was to silence over 10k accounts. i will spare you all my cynic thoughts now...

This. But please, goonies, don't stop making all these QQ threads. Your tears are so very delicious and a nice change of pace from boring old miner tears.

10,000 people chose a complete idiot, and now they are mad that idiot did what idiots tend to do- act stupidly and get in trouble for it.

I believe the guy the 10,000 voted for said a particularly useful quote for this moment... oh wait, I remember:

Dear OP,

Please start using intellect before engaging fingers. CCP did not remove The Mittani from the CSM, The Mittani resigned his Chairman post and admitted to his guilt in stupidly enciting suicide of another player in the sandbox.

CCP then had to engage in following their EULA and produce a punishment befitting the crime (some say not enough, some say too much) either way his account was banned.

Everyone else in the game that is found to be harrassing/stalking/abusing breaking the EULA recieves the same punishment.

This is not something new and cruel just to upset 10 thousand sycophants.

You voted, I voted, my vote's (all 8 accounts) were used wisely on a candidate who behaves like a CSM should and mine were not wasted.

Your vote/s were wasted on a cyber-bully who is finally paying for his actions. You had the opportunity to vote, you did so, The Mittani stepped down because of bad behaviour. There is nothing more to it.

The CSM is still full of plenty of supporters for The Mittani's platform and in no way whatsoever will your voices not be heard, you have Vile, Two Step, Trebor and Seleene all batting in your corner.

Nullsec is pretty safe im sure.....
