This guy controls a massive alliance, gets more than ten thousand votes, and the only thing he can think of to do with that power is attempt to lock down Jita in an effort to "grief" the rest of the EVE playerbase? This is his idea of using all that power to make the game better for everyone? I just can't take anything he says again seriously... What a dumb ass.

Ummm Why? He reiterated that his apology was real. he mocked the bandwagon jumping witch burners, he commented on the possible ramifications for CCP, he reaffirmed a love for all things Goon.

How is any of that worth a "perma ban"?

Apology aside, the fact was he made the presentation prior to the fanfest, intentions were clear, apologies don't erase intentions.
Further compacted by supporters/associates of Mittanis... and here we are, with even more BS piling up against an entire coalition, yet individuals from those coalitions just can't accept they were in the wrong, and continue to bang that gong. Please by all means continue until you all get banned or quit, this game will be such a better place without your CFC coalition. It really was a fun game prior to.

I make no secret of being a fan of GS and a few other alliances (some trolly, some not), but honestly...the overreaction surrounding this was so incredibly sad/stupid that *that* is what shames the Eve community. Your comment was uncalled for, but it was a drunken joke for which you apologized, regarding a video game player who was whiny about a vidya game.

Yeah, and the CSM pitched a fit, with The Mittani being one of the main ones doing so, that they weren't even informed of it coming.

The CSM doesn't really have any power at all. All they do is say, "Yeah, players want that," or, "No, the players are going to pitch a fit over that." They can only do so when consulted. Apparently with regard to monocles, they weren't.
