The 10 k votes were not "a democratic election" Lol
Well maybe a precentage of them, the rest= Accounts that were no older than 30 days (which means, *drumroll* alts)

Now we can all conspiracy'ise (yes i invented that word just now) , that the "alts" were most likely plexed goonzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

*puts on serious face*
If I remember correctly about 6k'ish of the votes were from the "no older than 30 days" accounts, can't remember what the devblog said.

So that would be roughly (kind numbers) 4k legit votes, and 6k "fake" votes.

In any case, To much Drama on all sides for my tastes.

And uh have fun in Jita.

This is about 10,000 voters losing their voice. Even if you removed the Goonswarm Federation from the table that still leaves you with 4000+ voters that aren't being heard anymore, assuming every member of our alliance voted (Hahahaha I doubt we even got 60%)

Next time maybe they will think and not throw their votes away.

You bet on the wrong horse. Next time just think more before you vote.
Arguably the CSM doesn't account for the majority of EVE but you don't hear them crying.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

Revote would be sweet. Lyris Nairn, new chairman for life, over 10k votes and over 10k likes. His CSM thread also contains some great tips on playing warwick in LoL.

You sure you want to do that? Cool

Or let's be honest here, the goons would just troll vote and put Xenuria or someone else dumb into the CSM.

30 - 8,447
250 - 8,489
...
2500 - 2,073
3000 - 943

It is an artificial bump though as an account must be 30 days old before it can be used to vote. I missed out on one, as I had to create a new account to get another old character training. Could not vote.

I can't agree on the point that they all represent "fake" accounts. Note the distribution of accounts. It matches what you would expect of a MMO - heavy towards the lower end of account age and lighter towards the upper end. Natural behaviour and patterns in player retention after trials, burnout, etc.

There will be some, but to claim that 6,000 votes came from "fake" characters? Long bow. A very long bow I think.

But I guess whatever spins your story.

That's not how it works. If a President is impeached and removed from office, they don't just hold a new Presidential election right then and there. There's an order of succession, and that's what will take over.

I can understand feeling disenfranchised right now. The person you voted for, and who won in what can only be described as a massive landslide, will not in fact be holding the position he was elected to. It seems unfair. Unfortunately, that's how the process works.

When you make a choice that doesn't work out for you, you can't just suddenly demand to do it over with new options. You have to live with the consequences of your choice. You chose a person who later committed actions that caused him to be removed from office.

Such is life.

So the CSM Chairperson has the same powers as a president? Actually, no. So about 50% there. Then, let's consider there are other democratic system apart from what the United States of America uses and there is a variety of different mechanisms for dealing with this. As has been suggested before, a By-Election type system works as well in many democratic countries where a member of the electoral group is removed, dies or otherwise are unable to complete their term.

You have silenced roughly 17% of the active voters in this CSM election. If CCP gives even the slightest interest in fairness there will be either another round of elections or at the very least the 10058 should be allowed to recast their votes amongst the people in the running.

You did what you thought was right in banning Mittens and removing him from the CSM. Now do what's right in ensuring I'm not disenfranchised by your actions.

NOBODY CARES, IF THEY DID, MITARDI WOULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN A BAN.AGAIN, I KNOW YOU ARE KIND OF MINDLESS, KIND OF SLOW, SO LET ME STATE THIS AGAIN, NOBODY CARES.

Shifting your left pinky finger 1/8th of an inch to the left and pressing the button found there is often the difference between looking like a moron and having a valid point people will read.

Unfortunately on your keyboard it doesn't matter what buttons you mash.

This x1000.

Your votes DID count. You just voted for a guy who ended up making an ass out of himself, so much so he ended up getting a 30 day ban AND stepping down from the CSM. If you guys want to be mad at anyone, be mad at Mittani. He wasted your "precious" votes the second he started his drunken babbling.

No trolling please

I highly doubt CCP is going to allow another vote since there's already a procedure in place to resolve this situation.

http://myeve.eve-online.com/download/devblog/CSMSummary.pdf

Before entering office:
Quote:
If a candidate is unable to fulfill these requirements, the candidate with the next highest vote tally will be given their position. This process will continue until there are a total of nine Representatives and five Alternates.

After entering office:
Quote:
Should the Chairman step down as such or as a Representative, a vote is to be held to appoint a new Chairman with all Representatives eligible for the position.

Quote:
Each player council of Representatives and Alternates lasts for twelve months, beginning one week after the declaration of election winners.

CSM7 will take office on April 4th, and their first order of business will be to decide upon the vice-chair, secretary and vice-secretary positions.

http://community.eveonline.com/council/voting/votingResults.asp

Since CSM7 hasn't officially taken office yet and the CSM6 is still active, they are all still considered Candidates and as such, the candidate with the next highest vote tally will move up and the process will continue until there are a total of nine Representatives and five Alternates.

That means Two step will be the Chairman with Meissa Anunthiel becoming the 9th Representative and Korvin will move up to the 5th Alternate spot from the list of Candidates due to their vote tally.
