[WH / NULL] POS Settings

So I've got a beautiful glistening bubble surrounded by enough guns to make even a minmatar think I've went overboard.

The only problem is that I have no idea what setting to put my POS guns on to make sure the guns go pew pew.

So the question is: What settings for defense should I set so that corp members will not be fired upon but all neutrals will be.

I tried the standing < 10.0 but my corpies were getting shot at by the guns.


and before you ask, obviously I am an alt so yes I have a non-npc corp.

Ah, so you finally set the tower up and didn't get shot. Good job!

For pos settings, I usually leave it set to shoot upon aggression otherwise your friends get shot. Be it alliance mates, people set to +10, your tower will probably shoot them.

Ah, so you finally set the tower up and didn't get shot. Good job!

For pos settings, I usually leave it set to shoot upon aggression otherwise your friends get shot. Be it alliance mates, people set to +10, your tower will probably shoot them.


will that still shoot unagressing neutrals tho? I heard setting it at 0.01 takes care of that.

i set mine to shoot at any nosey person I do not love ... shoot-anything-with-standings-less-than-0.1 ... as well as upon aggression etc.

This has resulted in some unintended fatalities early on, but now everyone has learned to be very careful with their selves and their alts.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

just make it shoot everyone.
keeps your corpies on their toes and makes stealing ships by bumping them out of the shield for alts much harder ;)

definately do not use only agress on aggression.

A corpmate in a repping ship repairing sentries/shield still counts as aggression iirc.....so follow Jack's advice :)

Thanks for the advice guys. I set it to 0.1 and it is no longer shooting at corpies. Good advice on the aggression too. I'll have to disable that one.

i was really happy and thankful to POS owners who have set POS with alliance accessible jump beacon up so that pos aggroed my carrier after jumping to that beacon.

Second happy person was some SF guy who watched it and got cyno nearby.

Thanks to my panic in alliance channel some good 3rd guy was there just in time to kill cynogen before some nice Nyx or something like it appeared above my webbed disrupted and w/o sensors thanny butt. Lol

TLDR: don't forget about those who got their security status negative.

If you set it to aggression, you better never rep it. It will count remote repairing the tower as agression and kill you.
Set it to under 0.1 standings. That way neutrals and reds get shot. Take it from a guy that has killed his alts atleast 7 times :P
