I do think its time for a bit more space, but in a creative way. Show the expansion of the empires and explorers. Raise the sec status of all existing systems by 0.25 or 0.5, which would show expansion of 'civilization' into the universe. It fits due to rising populations in low sec and null sec space. In addition, add a couple constellations to all null sec space to show newly discovered space and construction of star gates. Also add about 25% - 50% gates to connect low sec regions to both empire and null sec space. This would show progress in taming the wilds. By increasing all systems by 0.25 or 0.5, it would create new Empire space, low sec space, and push the people that want to live in the frontier out to new null sec areas. It could also cause a much needed shakeup of current empires and give everyone a chance to get into the mix without swelling the already inflated super-alliances.

It could be taken further by adding a new constellation to each null sec region each year. in a few years, carve off a few of the new constellations and create a new region out of them.

The exploration side could even result in a long lost faction being found, opening all kinds of possibilities for expansion of the game.

there is no need for more wormholes. 80% of class 5 space is devoid of life, and another 10-13% of the 20 has small corps or single guys 7 boxing.

WH wise CCP needs to provide a better reason to move up the WH pyramid. I tried to address this at fanfest but i was shouted down by class 1-3 people saying they need MORE money.

I dont think the problem is there isn't enough space, it is that there is space not being used. plenty of 0.0 is completely empty as i fly through it, same as WHs, CCP needs to continue to shift around the resources and make some of these systems worth inhabiting.

I think it's more of an issue with current sov mechanics than anything else.

In wormholes and NPC nullsec, you claim a system by living in it and saying you 'own' a system you have no presence in is meaningless.

In sov nullsec you can't dock unless you have sov or are friendly with the sov holder, and squatting out of a POS is impractical.
