Poll: Should "freeze/lock" overview when mouseover be optional?

Poll: Should "freeze/lock" overview when mouseover be optional?

Like make an option inside overview settings to toggle on/off

1: Yes!
2: No!
3: I don't care...


CCP stated at fanfest that most people were happy with this feature... but did you know you could do exactly the same thing before? by simply holding down CTRL...

CCP also said at fanfest that they proberly wouldn't remove this feature.. that is not what I am asking for anyway, simple make it toggleable

I'd like to see it optional. Sometimes it's annoying other times not.

The same for me, at times it's handy, at others it's a royal pain, optional please.

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...

Of course, pretty much every UI functionality should be optional/selectable.

I personally like how it is now, but more choices is always better.

Works fine now and everytime there is a fix there is a chance for a bug to appear.

Yes

It's being damn annoying when you have 6+ clients running, overlapping eachother, you have to move your mouse around like a maze and carefully avoid 'touching' overviews on them as it'll freeze in place while you're on other clients. Bloody stupid.

AFK-cloaking in a system near you.

Optional!

Most of the time it's not an issue, the mouse isn't near the overview and everything is rosey... then there are the times when you're selecting stuff from the overview, the selected object window and whatever else as quickly as you can and ...arghraghbaghraghfaaargh!!! (on those occassions Ctrl to lock/freeze the overview would be sooo much better).

Yes it should be optional.

I also totally don't get people who say No to this. How is optional worse than rigidly enforced? I personally prefer the old way of holding down a hotkey to freeze it and keep it frozen as long as I need to, instead of current 2 seconds after the mouse stops.

:P... oh boy, if you havn't noticed, then you proberly don't use the overview much...
Well, a few patches ago when CCP did some tweaking to the overview, making it update faster and such (there was a dev blog about it) some guy at CCP thought it was an awesome idea to make the overview "lock" so targets stayed at same location on the overview while your mouse was hoovering over it.
This was suppose to be very useful for large fleets when alot of targets were moving around near you and you were trying to select a specific target... heres the stupid thing... you were already able to do this by simply holding down the CTRL key (same you hold down when trying to lock a target)

If you havn't noticed it at all, then try logging into eve... move your mouse over the overview, and you will see a small "lock" icon on the collum that is currently "white"

I want the old overview back, I thought I'd get used to the new one, but it's so unpredictable, annoying.

I don't actual,y play eve anymore it seems.

I thought I'd wait and see too, gave it some time to get used to it but in some situations it's just really clunky.
