Banned for macro use

Today, one of my accounts was banned for "macro use".
"Reason: EULA/TOS Violation - Macro use"
The trouble is, this is a PvP character, and has never been involved in any of the macro mining/ratting/spamming/piloting/anything.
Did anyone else have such experience in being banned for no reason recently? Also, is there some flawed method by which CCP determines who is using macro ?

lol. Standard procedure is they ban all accounts you have, not just your macro accounts.

You should use the proper channels (petition) if you think you have been wrongly accused.

Posting here will not help your cause whatsoever, and you'll just get flamed.

FYI, PVP characters can bot too.

When CCP bans for macro use, they ban all your accounts they can find, even if you were macroing on just one.

They ban the player, not the account.

I saw this coming. They can't moderate bot behaviour using softwar and repetition in the game.

Set autopilot to 70 jumps and you have the symptoms of a Bot. You need to build a better mousetrap CCP.

Have you even bothered reading the recent dev blogs as well as reading up on the posts made on Failheap Challenge? CCP has banned well over a thousand accounts in a single stroke that day and many of those accounts were banned by association alone to the main botting account. Many of the bot users crying in their lairs are reporting that their non-bot accounts have been banned as well.

Also, if you truly never used a macro bot, then petition or escalate it to CCP to see if maybe it was by accident. Of course if they never respond, and they reserve the right to do so, then that means you truly have used a macro bot. At that point, shame on you and thank you for announcing this for all to see.

It's not until it happens to you. All jokes aside, there will be false positives and the number will grow as more botters are banned.

Either you, or someone you are closely associated with through trades/ISK transfers is a filthy cheating scumbag. Enjoy your ban dude, I hope to see many more of these "why am I banned I've never botted (on this account)" whines.

Reminds me of the "Why did CCP take all my ISK, I mined that 4 billion ISK in 2 days on this 1 week old char" posts.

big timing coincidence, you weren't by any chance a certain scammer in jita who was using a macro to spam all night the past few days? Name starting with "Co..."?? He suddenly disappeared yesterday ^^. Oh it would be pretty cool if you were that guy then finally all that reporting would have worked ^^

Aaah well i guess there are a lot of botters who get banned every day and you probably wont tell it if you were that guy ^^. If you were using a makro to do anything automaticly on any account then you deserve your ban even if it may have just been a chatmakro. And as everyone else said already every account is banned if someone is botting on one of those. They ban the person/accountowner and not just the one account that did the botting/makroing.

CCP said that in last year, of all accounts they banned, they had 2 false positives.
Maybe you are third. Lol

actually they said they had 1 false positive and he thinks that maybe they had a second one just recently. (at least thats how i remember ^^) There actually was someone about a week or two ago that posted on forum because he was falsely banned and later unbanned but not reimbursed for the time he lost and complaining that they werent answering his petitions about that...That may have been that second guy ^^
